I noticed a couple of posters say Pouliot had a 3- 4 give aways tonight and I looked it up and he has no, as in 0 giveaways in tonights game according to the stats located here: http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreport...0/ES020593.HTM
The boys played great, they should keep that pre-game tradition - Sudafed and tequila shooters worked out great tonight especially for the smaller guys. Maybe toss oysters into the mix tomorrow?
Pouliot is impressing me. He was responsible for Gionta's goal tonight by playing big and causing a nuisance in front of Smith. That turn around pass to Markov through one of the Bolts players was special too. I'll say it again, there aren't two better players for Pouls to learn from than Gomez and Gionta.
I like how pouliot stood up to the Tampa defenseman. Shoving him back into his own goalie and stepping on his neck with his skate. Good thing smith didn't open up a gash. Pouliot is pretty tough and brings much needed size. Seems like he's always getting a couple good chances to score.
The fact you say that Cammalleri is our best player every game, contradicts what you are trying to establish.
On some nights, he has been. Lately, he has been far from the best player on the ice. It has nothing to do with goals, and only noticing him when he's scoring. He scored against Ottawa, and he played a average game. He got an assist tonight, he played an average game. To say he's played better on most nights then Plekanec, Markov since his return, or Hamrlik on given nights is an absurd comment to make.
I see him getting into the open ice areas, but not getting the puck, getting position on players, and not getting the puck, getting the puck and seeing open players (plekanec) and getting them the puck. He's doing his job even when he's not scoring.
Plekanec and Cammelleri are linked, but Cammalleri is the main cog in this machine.
don't want to start a thread but I've been hearing a few times today that Price wasn't happy in Ottawa and made it clear he wasn't happy about not playing. Just wondering if it's been discussed in some thread already.
the official 3 stars were Price, Smith, Pleks. I find it weird, how the Tampa media gives Price first star, and the habs media gives it to Smith.
Yeah it's weird, I always thought it was a given that a player of the winning team gets the first star of the game, unless a player of the other team just played out of his mind.
