I like Roman Horak so far; he reminds me a little of Anisimov in that he's this quiet kid from Europe who no one really knows anything about and is just going about his business doing what it takes.

He can play defense and is good on the face offs. Maybe the Rangers will get lucky and Horak and Hagelin can form 2/3ds of a shutdown line in the future.

BC played a stupid game. They were fortunate to come away with a W. Too many penalties and shoddy play with the puck.

UMASS Lowell,UNH and BU won their games.

If those teams win their series,BC plays BU and UNH plays UMASS Lowell

Fixed. Depth, that's what this is all about. Neither player is at the top of the depth charts for the organization. Hagelin has Dubinsky, Grachev and Kreider ahead of him, while Horak has both Anisimov and Stepan ahead of him. And, Werek is ahead of both players depending upon which position his ends up at. And, depending upon if the Rangers draft a center or LW in the upcoming draft, each would drop a spot.

I guess my point is, I wouldn't expect Hagelin and Horak to be forming the basis of anything right now.

Are any of the college games on TV today? And what times are the games? Hoping for a day game may be on this rainy day.

So we're only playing with two forward lines? Hagelin could be a great 3rd/4th line defensive player, and even we can use them. And anyway, unproven prospects don't have much trade value (contrary to HFBoards believe) so it's much more likely a guy like Dubinsky will be moved if something of value is supposed to come back.

So Dubinsky, a player on his way to establishing himself as an NHL-level 2nd liner, could be moved because you think Hagelin could be a great 3rd liner?

his point is that dubinsky has value in a trade. hagelin does not. if the rangers were looking to get a great player, dubinsky would be moved and not hagelin because dubi has much more value.

At the 6:18 mark, Rangers draft pick Chris Kreider absolutely blew past the UMass defense on the left wing, cut across the slot and tucked the puck behind Dainton's left pad.

"He's such a strong skater," York said of the freshman. "When he gets a step on the defenseman, even half a step, he's hard to contain."

Soon. They hired the Daily News sports news director and hired Ian O'Connor as a columnist.

Finishing 22nd in Future Watch 2010 is center Chris Kreider. He was drafted 19th overall by the New York Rangers. Re-do the draft today and he’d surely move up into a top 12 selection last June.

Ian O’Connor confirmed to me he’ll be joining ESPNNewyorkcom: “Yes, I’m going to ESPN NY as a columnist and radio contributor. Thrilled about the opportunity. Sad to be leaving America’s greatest newspaper family, the Borgs of The Record [N.J.], who prove every day that profitable, intelligent and caring newspapering is alive and well.”
