Half of it was holding the stick the other half was Avery acting like a tool. He isn't going to get calls his way if he stops the play to be a clown. Maybe if he kept his feet moving and not his mouth things would turn around for him.

Fact is that someone pretty much has to shoot Avery for him to draw a penalty.

Gaborik is just such a dangerous player.

One of the few guys in the league that you're surprised when he DOESN'T score.

So true. He's never had the pleasure of playing with another player of his caliber, but I suspect when he does get that chance he'll score 120+ points. There is no way a PK would be able to contain two players like Gaborik and say a Marc Savard or one of the Sedins, etc...

i'll paraphrase

"i was surprised i was given this opportunity, i dont usually get to play on the top lines with such skilled players like Gaborik"

"my agent told me when i was 16 that ur always playing for your next contract and, ive been on 4 teams lately and ive not lived up to expectations all the time so im trying to do the best i can because i want to perform well"

"yeah i was so happy when i scored that goal, when u havent scored since last season it really hurts ya"

"when i play my game i just want to try and get the puck to gaborik and get in good open positions. i had the privilege of playing with kovalchuk before so i know how to pass to good players" bla bla bla

just sad demeanor, makes you tear up a bit for him.
