Sweet Caroline at a hockey game is along the same lines as Mr. Boston (Denis "*********" Leary) having a show revolving around New York City.

I didn't get to see the game, but I can tell what happened just looking at the box score. One of the biggest reasons why I hardly watch hockey anymore. Anytime another team is up by one and has had one or two extra PPs through the game, you just know damn well the refs are going to gift the trailing team. Hardly any penalties all game, yet call two on the team up by one with 4 minutes left to play!? It must've been sent out in a league wide memo...

Brashear said the the NHL was gay. I don't know if Sweet Caroline is gay but it's lame as hell for certain. The Flyers should have stepped up based on that **** alone.

Yeah, I found it. Mr. Brashear sounds like he knows what he's talking about

Although the end result was not what we Flyers fans would have liked (at least we got a point and played with some passion), this was a great celebration of the game of hockey.

All in all, we dominated the Bruins the entire game, we doubled their scoring chances. If it was not for a weak call against Chara, we would have won this game in regulation.

I do not look at the Syvret goal as a lucky goal, Thomas made a bonehead mistake by trying to engage Hartnell. Had Leighton given up that goal from the red-line, that would have been a lucky goal in my book. We need to find the drive to bury teams when we have them running around in their zone. Asham had a great game, but he needs to score on at least one of his brilliant chances. I agree with the comment that the players were trying to do too much in this "great event" rather than taking it as another game of the 82 and it hurt on the out numbered chances.

It is unfortunate that this great day for the NHL was overshadowed in the box score by the epic blunders of reffing. We have to score when we get the great chances, but professional referees should not be missing "too many men on the ice" calls, especially in Overtime where the Flyers only had 4 men on the ice.

When is Coburn planning on yanking his head out of his ass? Tomorrow? Next week? Next month? Next year? Never?

It'd be nice to have some information on that one.

Flyers should have won that.

It was still awesome though.

Maybe he saw 4 Bruins coming in on the rush and didn't realize that rogue 5th man was behind him

This.
Flyers could've easily won this one, if they buried one of their 8000 chances. Still don't know how Richards and Briere are able to not score on the 2on1 in overtime right before the GWG. Especially if you have Leighton (who played good, though) in net, you gotta score more than one goal.

Yeah, one of my favorite parts, Coburn staring up the ice and Sturm stands behind him waiting to tap it in, just great, way to give 110% out there.

I agree he looked like a bump on a log out there. I still can't believe Danny or Richie didn't bury that chance

One of them fanned on an open net, think it was Danny. Also have to go back to Carter missing the entire net on the 2 on 1.

I dunno, I thought we played very well, but if you can't finish your chances, you're not going to win games, Carts and Danny need to pot those and that's what ended up costing us.

Just frustrating though, I don't get what Coburn's deal is, protect your crease, that's like D-Man 101.

Coburn continues to not use his body. Frustrating as hell. I thought Syvret did well out there and it was unfortunate we had to throw Bartulis on the PK at the end of regulation.

Score some more f'in goals. Oh well. 9 out of 10 points so far on the road trip ain't bad.

I just really wish this was a game we got a W. I'd trade an OTL to another game just so I don't have to hear my friends berate me for the loss
