OT: MAX vs SID vs Dryer

Anyone saw the ad on NBC? If not you can see it here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOemZ...=youtube_gdata

Notice the Habs stuffs he had in his basement? Habs team photo (from 1993 I think) and the Habs logo in the back. Also, does the #29 refers to Dryden? Anyways, I can't believe Mr. Superstar lost to the Superstar.

Didn't Crosby once say he would like to sign with the Habs when he becomes a UFA? And didn't Boucher coach Crosby at one point in the juniors? Its destiny my friend

Crosby should have said before the 2005 draft " Anyone can draft me but I will only sign a NHL contract with the Habs"

That's what a REAL fan would have done!

That's cool. I loved the Habs stuff in his basement. Too bad we were only 5-off. I still remember that draft and the count down and no Habs envelope showing up. I really, really started to get excited about it when it got to 10 and we still hadn't been picked. I almost convinced myself we were destined to pick him and then, boom, us at number 5. It's okay. Price was a great pick even though people absolutely freaked out about it at the time.

I saw this commercial and I too believe he is a hardcore habs fan, and he will be a Hab when he becomes a UFA, book it.

He didn't. The full video is available online as of a couple days ago, Crosby wins 9-4 and nails the last one w/his eyes closed.

Not only were the Habs Crosby's favorite team growing up but his father was drafted by them too. In case you didn't know...

I really liked that commercial.

Though for a guy who makes all that money you'd think he'd buy his parents a nice new house. Then again some people don't need that kind of stuff.

Vinny Lecavalier's parents just moved out of their house down the street from me, it took their son 10 years as a pro to get them a new house.
