-There will be 30 GMs, 1 for each team. There will be 1 agent for Eastern conference RFA’s, and 1 for Western Conference RFA’s. We ask that you do not sign up if you do not plan on being at least somewhat active.
-The time that this game hypothetically takes place in is the trade deadline of the 2009-2010 season. After the deadline has “passed”, we will vote on playoff seeding, as well as the winners of each playoff round until we get a Stanley Cup winner. After the Stanley Cup voting, we will have an off-season, complete with Free Agency, the draft, and more trades.
-Before the 2010 UFA starts, we will need 4 volunteers to be agents for UFA’s. This is an important and fun part of the game if anyone is interested in playing, but not willing to forfeit much of their valuable time.
-The salary cap for the trade deadline until the end of the playoff voting is going to be $56.8M
-We will be using capgeek.com to find our players pro-rated cap hits.
We will be using pro-rated cap hits for this game. There are many different ways to do this, but this is the easiest way:
1) Find the player's Daily Cap Hit on CapGeek.
2) Multiply said players daily salary by 40 (The # of days remaining in the season at the trade deadline)
3) Subtract this # from the player's total cap hit and allow this # to continue to count against your cap total
4) For any player you are acquiring, use this same method (Daily cap Hit*40) and this is the pro-rated cap hit of your new player.
This will make the game more realistic and add a new dimension to these types of games.
-It could get complicated for some, so PM a commishioner if you have any questions or if you need the caculations to be made for you.
-The commishioners will be responsible for double-checking everyone’s numbers for this.
-The salary cap for the 2010-2011 season will be $57.8M.
-There will be a separate thread to keep track of waivers and/or buyouts.
-Only 1 veteran per team will be able to be sent to the minors due to cap reasons and only 1 buyout will be allowed per team.
-The lowest team in the standings in real life gets highest waiver wire priority.
-All trades must be sent to IslesRock4 and Classic Devil or else they are not valid.
-Once a trade is agreed upon, send it in BEFORE POSTING, and then you can announce it in the thread.
-If a trade is announced prior to it being sent in, it will be vetoed.
-ALL MOVES MUST BE SOMEWHAT REALISTIC. Washington will not trade Ovechkin, Pittsburgh will not trade Crosby, etc. The commishioners hold the power to veto any ridiculous trades.
-A trade involving a NTC or NMC must be approved by BOTH trade managers prior to posting. Keep in mind it will only be on a rare occasion that a NTC or NMC is waived.
-If there are any qualms about the trade, the trade will be sent to the trade committee where it will be voted on.
And the Flames will take their run at the canuckleheads!!!
Can't figure out if I like your changes or not.
I really like Roy and Iginla. I think that would be a great pairing. And I'm a big fan of Sturm and his game. I think Holmstrom is pretty much at the end of the road. His style of game doesnt hold up with age and injuries are catching up to him. I think you're pretty much rolling 4 offensive lines though. The bottom 6 is kind of a toss between part grind line and a scoring line for both 3rd and 4th line, and I can them getting burnt by other teams scoring lines if the coach gets the matching he's looking for at ES. With Glencross and Roy I'm sure your PK would hold the fort, just not sure about the bottom 6 at ES.
