Sens are divers and cheap shot artists

varada going after sundin's knee
phillips tripping intenionally sundin into the post, causing his big injury

then game 6 was the worst
the dives were pathetic, leading to a 2-man disadvantage
some in overtime. at least those weren't called.

who was it that kept diving every time he got touched, it was brutal.

i would have been tempted to dress belak for game 6 to purposely spear chara in the nuts, that would have evened up the score on sundin at least

Yes, but as always the Leafs would have been called. Suspensions etc.

Spezza is one of the biggest divers I have ever seen... The whole Sens team is pretty bad. They are a joke, and they deserve to be pounded into the ice...

I don't think I saw Chris Neil in the first three periods not holding someone's stick

I must have missed something. When did Sundin get tripped into a post?

and we wonder why so many people don't like us Leaf fans. Couldn't be comments like this post? Or this statement. Why do they think we see things through blue tinted glasses????

I see you're at stage 2, blameshifting and denial.
Yesterday was stage 1, anger and depression (see; 'Leafs can't win the cup thread')

Not that I really needed further evidence that you're not watching the same series as everybody else, but Sundin was 'tripped' and subsequently injured by Redden (not Phillips), and that was while Ottawa was leading the game 2-1, not trailing 0-1.

When you reach stage 3, acceptance, no need to apologize, i forgive you in advance.

Actually, in an article on NHL.com, Sundin was quoted as saying the injury happened before he went feet first into the boards.

Still care to blame it on Phillips?

They're horrible divers-nothing like I've ever seen before, really. Quite astounding.

HOWEVER...haven't seen any cheapshots from them. I don't consider the Varada thing a cheapshot at all.

Get your facts straight before you post this crap. You obviously haven't seen more than 5 minutes of each game because if you had, you'd have noticed the Leafs were diving left and right in Game 6 as well. Nieuwendyk dove while Leafs were on the PP, which caused the 5 on 3, and in turn the Leafs only goal. There's a lot more...the worst being in OT when I believe Neil had his stick grabbed and he was slammed to the ice when he was nowhere near the puck.

That is the attitude of a soar loser and we haven't even lost anything yet. Have some faith in your Leafs. I don't want to see anyone out there to try and purposely try and injure someone.

I think you better calm down son and go back to your board where they obviously appriciate a good dive once in a while.

If we lose tonight I expect to see threads such as this as the search for scapegoats, people to blame for the loss, and excuses will intensify.

We should grow up and not only appreciate the play of our beloved Leafs but also the play of our opponents when we lose.

Well Spetz spent the off-season training with Roberts, so as Ron MacLean noted, he learned from the best.

Don't want to troll but Ottawa does deserve leaf fans respect because Ottawa has outplayed the leafs the whole series. If the leafs win tonight everyone in the leaf dressing room shouls sign over thier playoff paychecks to Belfour.

I definately have to agree with the Leafs fans on this one. Ottawa, is, was and always will be one of the dirties teams in the NHL. They dive, cheap shot, and do a ton of stick work away from the play. As much as I may hate the Leafs, gotta cheer for an Ottawa loss tonight, because teams like that don't deserve to be in the playoffs. So for tonight only, Go Leafs Go.
