Been there and seen it, even during blowouts.

My favorite of all time though, early in the 2008-2009 season against the Habs.
There was this group of 4-5 Canadien fans a couple rows in front of me, ignorant as ****.
Standing up the whole time, cheering and yelling like d-bags. 1st intermission comes, I go to grab another beer and this Flyers fan has all 4 or 5 of them against the wall in their face.

They didn't say another word the rest of the night.

That is awesome. I am not a Hab fan.

But yeah this was between Flyers and Leafs fans, they had the gall to start cheering "Go Leafs Go!" I agree, at that point, you're fair game for heckling and shouting. I'm not sure of who started the fights, but if it was the Flyers fan and it was unprovoked I think that is just downright ridiculous. It was distracting to me either way, as all the rubberneckers in section 114 had to make it their personal business.

During a blowout I wouldn't expect the Flyers fans to be the one to actually start the physical stuff...

On the other hand, expect anything from some drunk Philadelphia fans....

One of the best games i've watched all season, to come up against possibly the worst team we could play while we are trying to build up our confidence again.

Just like last time
If the flyers win this game, look out. They are going to be riding a big high beating the pens.

If we lose, we go straight back to the way we were.

Oh noes! Laffs players were complaining about Carcillo taunting the bench after he scored. I guess he hurt there wittle feelings

And why is nobody criticizing Acton for replying to the taunts? Shouldn't he know better?

Good game.
Pronger played very good, compared to the last little while.
All lines really rolled, except Richards'. Giroux seems a bit off, don't know what it is exactly. Even Coburn looked pretty solid and Syvret looked like Carle-light.
That being said, the Leafs sucked heavily. Outside of Kulemin, Stalberg (who I like a lot) and White, there wasn't a lot of brightsides on that team. They haven't really put pressure on the Flyers all game, I think 90% of all NHL teams would've looked good against them last night.

Work in progress.

1. Blind passes.
2. SOG, not enough.
3. Size. He needs to add another 7-10lbs.

I know exaclty what your talking about. I'm 99% sure it was a Leaf fan causing trouble. I remember seeing him getting lead out by the security and him looking pissed. That being said, thats what you get for trying to get "Go Leafs Go" chants started in our building.

Now I do agree that he had a nasty goal. I was really surpised. Other then that though, he really doesnt do much puck wise. He does get the crowd going at times, but other then that goal, he didnt really do anything. He had a slapshot that went completely wide and he lost a fight. Dont get me wrong, this isnt me hating on him, but I do think he needs to do alittle more. He's gotta work on his passing more.

Correct. I've seen all but 1 Leaf game and that was probably their 3rd worst outing. They usually consistently outwork (at the very least) their opponent and they didn't work at all last night.

I just find him hilarious mostly. Plus, he had an assistant coach from the other team yapping at him, kid clearly knows how to rile up the opposition.

I can agree with that to a certain point. Sometimes he gets himself into trouble that hurts us alot.

From the second article:

Quote:
The Leafs fell behind 1-0 for 31st time in their 44 games. Even more remarkably, this was the 22nd time they were down 2-0. That's half the games an astounding total in which Toronto has dug itself an early two-goal deficit.
Damn.

It was his loss. Only few can disagree with that. I was at the game. I clearly saw it and most of us agreed it was his loss. There were few boos in the beginning like everytime we lose a fight.

It wasn't a draw.

I think Carcillo doesn't have to do a lot with the puck, don't fool yourself because of this one goal. I'm very happy with Carcillo this season, he just has to be good on the forecheck, keep the cycle going, crash the net and piss of the opposition.

You should hear the radio station guys cryyyyying about big bad Carcillo. It's funny that nobody complains about Acton replying to Carcillo, he's the Laffs assistant coach, should he be engaging in trash talk with an opposing player?

No no I remember.. it was a long time ago though.. 3 game, pre-season right? Mika Pyorala was also a 4 point player... and we know how that turned out.

Carcillo's had a little trouble clearing the puck at times, but his passes and puck management have been a pleasant surprise this year. He's doing plenty and is worth his contract, that's more than we can say for a lot of guys on the roster.
