Barry Melrose...

Blamed joe tonight for the struggles of Murray and Knuble....I felt it was the other way around...Joe didnt play his best...but murray didnt put home anything that joe did give him. If he does....Joe has a few assists and is a hero with his cracked ribs. I was ready to be all over joe....but I think he deserves another chance before he joins the ranks of the Yashins of this league. For some reason I think this experience will help him alot.

It is said that you learn more from adversity than from success, if this is the case Joe got a million dollar education that one wouldn't want to pay a dime for! Melrose is a goofball camera hound in a zoot suit!

Murray's only weapon is his shot, which Montreal shut down quite effectively. He doesn't do anything else well. He also seems to coast a lot out there. I think he's trying to go a whole game without perspiring.

As for Melrose, after he said that Scott Stevens is a better defenseman than Ray Bourque, I've never listen to a word he says. (Please don't start the anti-Bourque stuff.)

Melrose made some racial comments last week that few in Quebec will forget. He's a good example of giving an idiot enough rope to remove all doubt.
