Barring an unexpected setback, Ray Emery says he will back in goal for the Flyers on Saturday night against Tampa Bay.
“Yeah, I think so,” Emery told CSNPhilly.com at the morning skate. The Flyers host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday evening.
“I feel pretty good right now. You never know if you get a setback, but as far as it goes, I feel pretty good.”
He said he wanted a few more practices to get to a point where, “things are flowing and I’m not thinking as much about making certain plays” or stretching movements.
“If it came down to a do or die, I could play right now,” he said. “I don’t want come back too soon, get hurt again or rush it. The weekend game is what I’m aiming for.”

I hope he's ready to go. I'm not sure why they wouldn't give him a reconditioning stint with the Phantoms, just to get some game action under his belt, if nothing else.
Awesome. Good thing he's on my keeper league IR another two weeks. Now he's going to come back, get injured again, and I won't even be able to put him back on IR right away.

Seconded. I have leery feelings about everything with this comeback.

I have leery feelings everytime somebody under the care of the Flyers medical staff returns "early"
You kidding? Emery is the starter on this team and would be on a lot of teams. He's not going to win the Vezina but he showed before he got hurt that he can still play. He's only like mid twenties and has had some good (if not great) seasons here and in Russia.
