Agreed! Congrats to the Flames!

And big up to Iggy, able to do what Thornton couldn't: lead his team and actually score some goals. Congrats again!

Congrads flames!! I am ready for a good battle in the second rd. Mikka has been great in net. Should give the Wings trouble much like Vokoun. I expect to see the Iginla line up against the grindline, I am very excited to see that match up. good luck to all.. should be a gerat second round match up.

Great job by the Flames tonight. I was seriously pulling for them in this series - Calgary's a team that I admire a lot for their work ethic and team play.

The Flames faithful have had this coming for a while now - congratulations and good luck against the Wings!

Congrats, guys! What a great series, and one of the most outstanding seventh games I've seen in thirty years of watching hockey. Your guys never gave up.

I hope you give the Red Wings hell. Way to go, Flames!

To be fair to Thornton, I dont think Iginla and the Flames would have done any better if he had been fighting through a similar injury.

But thanks to everyone for all the congrats. I look forward to hearing it all again when we knock off the Wings.

(That was the first, and probably only time I'll ever use that smiley)

congratulations from a die-hard Oiler fanatic. You guys knocked off those evil spirits of the West, and Im happy you did it. Sutter for Coach of the Year?

Am I the only one who'd love to see a Montreal vs. Calgary Final????

Lol, Mowzie you're not the only one! I said that a long time ago, before we'd even made the Playoffs that i wanted to see Calgary v Montreal in the final...what i consider the two most exciting teams in the NHL (of course i'm biased with the Flames)

If only...if only!

Unbelievable, just unbelievable.

I couldn't watch the game, I couldn't listen to the game, all I could do was follow the box score at nhl.com. When Cooke got the tying goal with 6 seconds left, I just sank. I admit I had lost a bit of faith going in to OT after what happened in game 6. However, I don't think I'll be doubting them again.

Go FLAMES!!!

Awesome job Flames!

I'm pretty happy that you guys advanced.

Let's hope that the Flames will continue there style off play. IMO you guys have a good chance in beating those Wings.

Holy crap, you guys did it & improved my playoff predictions to 6-1 (damn NJ)! Good job!

I kept having dreams that Vancouver had won, and would wake up and be distraught, but then I'd realize it was just a dream.... yet I was too tired to will myself from sleep, so I woke up early and turned on my radio just as the morning news played, anxiously awaiting the sports segment... until my dad knocked on my door, walked in and said "Flames win 3-2 in OT" and boy, that felt good. 8-)

Several weeks ago, there was a thread here about Sens fans that were supporting the Flames. I said that, no matter who the Flames faced in the first round, I'd pick them to win and support them. I'm glad everything came to fruition, and though they have far tougher odds vs. the Wings in the next round, they'll be my choice too!

Gj Calgary!!!!!

Couldn't happen to a more deserving team. That was a shining example of your star player stepping up when he needed to and your role players playing their roles to perfection.

Just a great team win.

For a team that hasn't been in the playoffs for so many years they sure looked like they have some serious playoff heart.

Congratulations!

Awesome....It's hard not to root for teams like the Lightning, Flames, Sharks and Sens....Here's to a new Champion not named Detroit, Colorado, Philly or Toronto!!
