They've gotten into a habit of holding onto those odd man rushes - confidence, I guess. They sure are generating a lot of them off the transition and some breakouts, too. Pretty neat, like a team on the cusp of getting back to playing well.
Great blind pass by Carter, excellent work of the rest of the team to stand around after the horrible turnover, and super job by Hartnell to get caught flatfooted and allowing the guy to get the open shot on that second Pittsburgh goal.
I've really had it with the overpaid piece of crap that is Scott Hartnell.
First goal, Briere sucked defensively which you know is going to happen, but I enjoy Hartnell and Coburn both playing in the slot, no one protecting the net, absolutely inexcusable.
Then you go to the 2nd goal, you're getting let Matt ****ing Cooke get to the slot ahead of you while you stand on the boards with your finger up your ass?
Hartnell is on this team to score goals, win board battles, and play defense and I know he's my whipping boy and I apologize if I rant on him too much, but none of those 3 is even close to happening right now.
I expect it from the rookie (Bartulis) and the braindead guy making 1.2 mill (Coburn). I don't expect it from the guy who was brought in here at 4.2 to do a job and just isn't doing it.
