New York Rangers All Decade Team - 3rd Pair Defense #2

We are quickly approaching the end of the first decade of the 21st Century. It is time for us the fans to pick who we would want as our All-Decade Team. In the next few weeks 22 polls will be posted to fill the team. 13 Forwards, 7 defense man and 2 goalies will be chosen.

The 21th poll will be for 3rd Pair Defense #2

Starting Goaltender: Henrik Lundqvist
Backup Goalie: Mike Richter

First Line Center: Michael Nylander
First Line RW: Jaromir Jagr
First Line LW: Martin Straka

Second Line Center: Eric Lindros

Poti was may more solid than most people give him credit for. And while his offense had disappeared, he's played solid defense for Washington the past few seasons.

True enough. Poti has had the most points in a season for dmen since Leetch was on his game with about 45, he just had a brutal 05-06 campaign when Rozsival took over PP QB duties.

He made some mistakes and giveaways but what offensive dman doesnt? MSG is pretty brutal to defensemen.

Dan Girardi certainly does. And he hasn't had an offensive season like Poti did. I can buy Mara over Poti, but I'd take Poti over Girardi. JMO though.
