If I had to guess, he's ruled out for the next few games and in a week from now his status will be re-visited and he'll start practicing again.

Despite popular opinion, Murray is not a stupid GM therefore I trust him to make the smart move for the team. Stupid would be letting the team struggle through the next few weeks and drop in the standings than he starts feeling the pressure. He'll know in the next few games if he needs to make a move or not...but you gotta think he's already close on something as a trade could really help spark the club for the rest of the season and not just while dealing with the injuries.

There are options out there. I happen to think Ray Whitney would be a great fit like Stillman was a couple years ago.

Whitney has a NTC no? He's probably been poisoned to Ottawa from Corvo.

Or wouldn't mind coming here after seeing his former teammate and friend waive a NTC to come to Ottawa.

Whitney may know he could be the type of player that can really help in a playoff run.

whitney on our team for the right price would be pretty sweet. Murray could maybe make a move for someone, but from what i've seen of murray so far, i think he'll probably make some sort of deal near trade deadline but early, or i could see something being done during the olympic break sometime.

right now, if it's me anyways, things are too uncertain. we had an ok start, and then all these injuries, we never really got the time to mesh properly as a team with new faces and a big piece being switched.

i think we'd need some games with a closer to full roster.

some of you guys make a good point that we might have a few guys kickin around that we could stand to trade, but if injuries come to us on our D like they have with our forwards, we're gonna need em.

I think murray is probably more cool headed when it comes to trading than fans would tend to be.

Although he's been good in other areas, we need him to be better when he comes back.

Michalek is an idiot. He's been DESTROYED so many times for keeping his head down on the ice, yet he never learns!!!
And yes, he was always that inconsistent with the Sharks. Unfortunately.

I wonder if that is one of the reasons DW 'relented' and included MM in the Heatley deal.

Name me one national team that luongo would not make their team? Exactly, he is easily top 3 goalies in the league.

The thing with Milan is when he gets into ruts, he tries to do too much, he needs to simplify things. Although if it is a concussion, I'm worried for him, this is his third concussion I believe.

He needs Spezza.

Michalek just cant find any open space at all right now

Also Fisher hasnt been scoring cause he cant face other teams top defensemen. Laugh at that one poster who said we should trade Spezz cause we have Fisher as our first line center

I'm going to guess that its somewhere between "probable for tonight" and "career-ending"

Seeing those two videos... scary!

Has he ever been out for an extended period due to concussions? Should we be worried?

Its a concussion. No one knows how long he'll be out. This is pure speculation and I find it ridiculous that they even bothered to write anything like that. Hopefully its not long but one thing is for sure it won't be until he's ready, as the NHL is getting a lot more strict about base-line tests. Thank go for that too, its about time the NHL stepped into the 21st century.

Ironically its tough to say, 4 games after the Torres hit the Sharks were eliminated and the Sharks were eliminated the same night of the Morrow hit.
