Should we reunite Gomez/Gionta/Cammy?

This is what we know...

Pleks-Cammy-AKost have great chemistry.

Pleks-Cammy with out Akost... not so much.

Gomez-Gionta-Pouliot have great chemisty.

Gomez-Gionta-Cammy also had pretty good chemistry early in the year

Pleks somehow managed to rack up assists in spite of playing with really low-producing wingers early in the year. Pouliot is probably better than any of those guys.

So, taking that all together...

Should we put Gomez/Gionta/Cammy on the top line, and put Pleks with Pouliot (and whoever) on the 2nd?

Until AKost gets back, anyway?

NO.

Pouliot is doing well there.

Cammy and Pleks are good together, try other players with them...don't make new lines ala Carbonneau.

Yes. I would. Gomez is playing really well right now and the smurf line played really well earlier in the year.

Pleks was putting up points despite his linemates. I think right now he's trying to force things. A big guy like Pouliot might help him out.

We need to get some secondary scoring....again. *sigh*

I'd try the Cammy/Gomez/Gio line out for a couple games, see if Cammy will click with them again.

Absolutely, it's not a bad idea to switch things up in the game as well. I think it's inevitable if Pleks and Cammy continue to get shut down. I wouldn't say no to a Pleks-Pouliot-Patches/D'Ags line.

edit: I must comment though that this can become moot if Sergei comes back and plays well with Pleks and Cammy

We still need two lines though where are we gonna get secondary scoring? I would put the better of Maxpac and Dags there until one of them claims it as theirs for good. After 4 weeks if neither of them can do it then I start calling up Dogs and sitting guys.

I really like the Pouliot-Gomez-Gionta line, really good, chemistry is there and they're creating a lot of opportunities whenever they're on the ice. I, personally, wouldn't split them up yet.

When Sergei returns, I'd give him a shot on the top line with Plekanec and Cammalleri.

Sergei should be back by next game (remember it's only on Thursday).

I don't want to break up the only line currently working, and a proven duo.

I think JM should alternate pouliot on the pleks line with sergei to see if that might work. But if cammy returns to form the smurf line I think we might miss benny's' size. Both combos with gomer and gio work but its a question of getting someone to complete pleks.

No, it makes us a one-line team. I'm willing to wait to see how SK does with line 1.

To be honest, Pouliot is a better all-around player than Cammalleri and he's also bigger. Cammalleri was lagging Gionta when he was part of the Little Line. Keep the top two lines together but look for someone to fill in for AKost while he's recuperating. SKost, Pacioretty, Latendresse, d'Agostini, Metropolit, and Lapierre have all been tried but haven't been up to it.

Then we need to target a big body winger, and go for him.

I do think it's a good idea.

Well, if Sergei is back for the next game, I'd try him with Pleks and Cammy first, yeah.

I started the thread mainly because our team can't really afford many more games of Pleks and Cammy being shut down offensively.

I think so, one good line is better than two average ones.

No. Pouliot is doing great on that line. And it was to be expected Plekanec and Cammalleri would cool off a little bit, I'm sure they'll get things back on track in no time. What we need is stability.

When the ''what have you done for me lately'' mentality goes wrong.
