Ok...there must have been a lot of people that came up from Tucson Saturday because there was a big group in my section too. Thanks Tucson fans for making the trip

Doan is on with Bickey and MJ right now and they are discussing the end of Jovo's penalty. Apparently it was the coaching staff's fault for not putting someone else out there when the penalty expired.

I was wondering what was going on. Should there have been someone in the box instead of Jovanovski? What exactly is supposed to happen in that situation?

If a player gets a non-matching penalty and a misconduct then another player needs to serve the penalty. That was a painful sequence to watch.

Do you remember if there was a guy in there at the end of the period? Did they just forget to put someone back in there at the beginning of the next one?

I could be mistaken but from watching it live I don't remember anyone in the box serving it at all

They didn't have anyone in the box for the first16 seconds of the penalty at the end of the period...and then obvisouly no one was put into the box when the period began.

Interesting. Why did the officials let that happen? Shouldn't they have forced a Coyote into the box so that they wouldn't have their full complement of players to put on the ice? Or is the ejection punishment enough?
