Vityaz vs. Avandard (KHL) 619 PIM

Today's KHL game between Avangard and Vityaz got canceled after four minutes due t countless brawls, including a couple of fights before the game began. Apparently Avangard was stuck in the arena for hours afterwards 'cause they were afraid of getting assaulted going to the bus.

EDIT: Just read another report that said there were 671 penalty minutes.

Seems like not only has Vityaz lost the ability to play hockey, they have lost the ability to fight too, which was their forte. What is the point of this team?

Time to revamp the team and move them to Sochi!

Darcy Verot, Chris Simon, Brandon Sugden...I wonder what Vityaz has more of this season, goals or fighting majors.

I wanted to see a Jagr vs Simon fight.

That was the saddest "brawl" I have ever seen. So half assed. Those that did make contact hugged. At around the 2:10 mark you can see the only fight in the video.

Avangard says that it started after Vero threw(shot?) the puck at Kukkonen during warm ups.

Aside from Sugden, Verot and maybe a couple of local players(Litvinenko, Megalisnky) they have no tough players. All their tough act comes only because they have Sugden and Verot, and now they also have Josh Gratton and Chris Simon.

You named 6 legit tough guys on their team. How many more do you want considering there are KHL teams that have none? Not really sure what your point is? Just trying to disagree with me because you are used to it?

Jagr hitting Verot while he was in a head lock made my day. I really can't stand that ginger ****.

Nice seeing a brawl any time, but this one was pretty weak.

Can we now please fire people who run front office of Vityaz and send the club to Sochi? I was disappointed when Vityaz was cleared to play this season, they better not return for 2010/2011 because they are just a joke.

I would like to see a pre season game be played between Vityaz and the Leafs or Ducks.

Svitov is a great fighter, he went toe to toe with Sugden who was a pretty tough guy in the AHL.

some people has been calling Svitov as coward but having fight against such a good fighter as Brandon Sugden proves something else!

My point is that aside from Sugden and Verot they didn't had any real toughguys in this game.

OK, I'll explain it once again.

User VladNYC told us that Vityaz not only don't know how to play, they also forgot how to fight. I answered thatt 95% of the team never knew this in thó first place. They usually act tough because they have Sugden and Verot nearby.
