What game were you watching, Jersey shots all night were from bad position, or bad angles and no screens...Halak wasn't outstanding, he had a easy night.
Guess you didnt see the highlight package CBC put together... Posted via Mobile Device
Halak thought about going after that pass and came out of his net, realized he wasn't going to get to it and had to back up. A lucky break for NJ though but then that's NJ in a heartbeat isn't it.
Parise breaks his stick, goes to the bench and ends up with a ****ing breakaway.
Pleks played well tonight. Played with a lot of grit and emotion. In fact, I think the team overall played really well tonight. MAB wasn't great. Gill & Mara scared me at several points in the 3rd.
Oh well, we needed 3 out of 4 pts in these two games after losing two and we got'em.
Now, we get a 4 day break.
Let's see where we are in the standings when we play again next Thursday.
Blaming a 2-1 OT lost on the goalie is freakin' ridiculous.
I think that we Habs fans are starting to get spoiled by our great goalies, and except unending miracles out of them.
If the goalie only lets in 1 in regulation, and 2 in total, he almost certainly played a great game. At the very least, he's not the reason for the lost.
You can't expect a goalie to regularly win with a goal support of 1 or 2.
I think people are getting oblivious and thinking cause it went to OT against the Devils it was because of Halak...it wasn't.
Neither team was great, the game was fast paced but both teams were so tight in the defensive zone neither could penetrate and score. Montreal had better opportunities than NJ.
My wife said it best tonight, she said Halak plays like a girl in a cat fight...he is always clawing at the puck and twisting and turning. Why is that superb and great tonight???
We got beat by a great goalie in Broduer, the confidence he has is crazy and the way he was handling the puck one handed with fore-checkers on him was insane!
Lapierre may need a night off in the pressbox and maybe bring up Pyatt again and let Pyatt and White show him they are ready to step up to the big club. Lapierre is best when he is hounding and aggravating his opponent but he is not doing that right now.
The players on both sides change, the coaches come and go, heck even Brodeur was injured last year and yet the one constant remains: The Devils beat us every single time (aside from 07-08) and usually in the most excruciating ways possible.
Getting 1 point against them is parade worthy with our history against them.
