This is a good idea. I know of one Glenn said the one time in an oilers/stars series.

"The oilers have a new member on their team. That member is MO momentum"

Terrible

This would take too long. Pretty much any time their lips were moving they were saying something stupid.

"That's one arsenal he has in his weaponry."

óGlen Healy

Or how about their attempt at witty repartee:

Healy: "If I could do that I'd still be playing, and I wouldn't have to be up here doing this with you."

Whitman: "..."

Habs, that's a super avatar

But you forgot about Steve Beijing.

Actually, my very favourite quote was from Craig Button , schmuck supreme, after the game: "The picture paints the words for you." He must taking refresher courses for kindergarten and he still can't get that expression right.

Don Whitman: "I think one of the keys for Montreal this series is for Joe Juneau to produce offensively like he did when he was a Bruin."

Way to go Don!

For the past three games:

"The habs have never won when trailing a series 3-1 (Go Bruins go, Go Bruins go)"

For all games the habs were leading going into the 3rd:

"The Bruins were the best comeback team this season (Go Bruins go, Go Bruins go)"

I hope CBC is done with the hab hating.. I'm not the only one who sees it am I? On a nightly basis I thought we were watching HNIM(assachuchettes).

Its too bad Chris Cuthbert covers the west...

If you want Cuthbert, you have to take Greg Millen along with him. Easily, the worst colour man in the entire industry.

Healy = Comedy

After taking a couple of games to realize the guy just simply ISN'T meant to be a commentator, I've taken everything he says with a grain of salt and now he has become an unintentional comedic genius in my mind!

From a couple of games ago "Habs (or Bruins, I can't remember) put one in and that could be it, with only 6 minutes remaining in the game".....Sounds like a reasonable comment on the surface.....until I tell you it was only the second period when he said it!!!

My favourite Healy lines are every time they drop the puck...."and this is going to be a very big draw", "face-offs are really important in this game", "Yanic Perreault, Yanic Perreault, Yanic Perreault"!

All hail Healy for uping Perreault's value in the summer. Too bad he didn't do that before the trade deadline. The Milburys and Sathers would have been all over him. In fact, if Craig Button was still in control of the Flames I'm positive Heally could have coaxed him into doing the rumoured Gauthier for Perreault swap, plus he probably would have tossed in Regehr too!

The sad thing is that this same cast of characters will be there next series and next year. HNIC is tailored for Leaf broadcasts and CBC will follow the money, no matter what. To my knowledge, the only member of the CBC team that congratulated the Habs on their win was Ron MacLean during the Calgary-Vancouver broadcast.

It's the first time I have ever seen a Canadian television network be so blatantly in favour of an American team in its coverage. It's as if the Habs won based on luck alone. I'm sure they are brushing up on Tampa Bay and former Leaf Dave Andreychuk as we speak. Our tax dollars at work. End of rant...

If it's any comfort, NESN coverage was worse. They barely acknowledged the Habs were on the ice. There was the occasional "Montreal clears the zone" but that was pretty well it.

My favourites were the Montreal Maroons comment (I mean, how clueless can you be?) and Healy's "If I could do that I'd still be playing, and I wouldn't have to be up here doing this with you." We laughed hard at that one. "Steve Beijing" was good too. Priceless. :lol

he talked a lot about what the bruins had to do to beat us but never talked about what we had to beat the bruins.

Hah! That's funny stuff - reminiscent of Millen with all his misplaced arrogance.
