Players from other pro-leagues who might interest the oilers.
We keep talking about the draft--the dive for five, win for seguin et all
well--no matter who the oiler draft--they could be anywhere from 2 to 4 years away from being top line players or doing the damage the oiler need in a player.
There are lots and lots of pro-leagues out there--over here in Europe we have the KHL, all the Scandanavian countries have pro-leagues
Obviously the oilers will address their roster from now till the draft and again after the season is over.
Lets say the oilers are able to ship $4mill contracts out and free it up to invest elsewhere.
So after the oilers sign their own rfa and or UFAS and trade players away--they have say four million in cap space for a couple of players.
Obviously a few people will mention Jagr as the first choice--but what other player over here in Europe the oilers could look at either former NHLers or mid 20 year euros who have fallen through the crack.
Two players jump to mind--Zhederov and Babchuck. I know Z'd is a UFA after the rangers walked away-not sure about Babchuck and his situation with the canes. MArcel Hossa is in the KHL tearing things up.
Of course the oilers have 5 foot 6 omark that they could try to slide in(I am not a fan of his) they could try to slide
lets brain storm and think of players not in the nhl the oilers could try to get in the off season
