The camera angle that they didn't send was the replay in the end of this clip.

I probably wouldn't unless there was a risk I got fired/demoted and I doubt that will happen here.
I think that is very likely to happen actually. This isn't a peewee hockey game, this is the NHL. It was a worthless goal anyway with the outcome but what if it was a game tying goal or it ended up effecting the standings?

What if Pitt ended up scoring 2 goals in the 3rd to send it to OT?

I don't post here much but you have to think that the league would be smarter then this..... they should have full control of every camera as it is recording their product and ensure that they use all available avenues to see if a play should stand or not.

The fact that homerism never entered the counts mind shows how stupid he really is. Shouldn't be that hard for the league to have someone overseeing the game from the control room to ensure that every effort to check on a play and forward the proper angles to the proper people gets done.

Maybe make FOX pay a fine or something ( i doubt that will happen ) but something has to be done to put the fear of god into those morons who have butchered our beloved game in so many ways.

Why would any member of the Penguins have a say in what angles FSN sends to Toronto?

damn, that's messed up. Kinda scary that people with relatively low connection with the team can have this big an impact. I honestly think whoever is responsible should be fired, even if it was the announcers.

Brilliant! The NBA has gambling refs, now the NHL has meddlesome broadcasters! How long before the NFL starts shaving points?

Deduct the Penguins 2 points for something FSN (not the team), may or may not have done, intentionally or unintentionally in a game the Penguins lost anyways?

Makes total sense.

As I have mentioned before (since this appears to be the first time this has ever happened), this is a VERY dangerous precedent that the league absolutely HAS to stamp out immediately.

Uh, their job is to report facts. Disputed call involved their team so of course they will report it. It isn't about winning or losing it is about FAIRNESS.

How are the other teams making the Pens look bad?

Keep digging.

See, in a competent league, this would probably happen, but a competent league wouldn't be relying on a hometown broadcast for replays in the first place. When it comes to the NHL, the bar is very low.

How exactly are they supposed to know FSN was suppressing footage?

I'm sure the NHL didn't walk into replay reviews without discussing local feeds' contractual obligations.

This is 100% on FSN Pittsburgh.

Pretty sure the league asks for all available angles.

Yeah you can't have that kind of stuff. They should be reprehended in some way. The feed suppliers have a responsibility to provide every angle.

you dont find it convenient that ESPN has no indication of this?
you dont find it convenient that NHL.com has no indication of this?
you dont find it convenient that the PENS OFFICIAL SITE has no indication of this?
hell, I get pens text alerts, I wouldve gotten a notice of this if it were a big deal.

They won the game, why do they care over one bad call? we all knew it was a goal, but it didnt matter in the end. why make a big deal

1. ESPN doesn't really care about the NHL.
2. NHL.com wouldn't bring light to a serious investigation like this.
3. Why would the Pens website slander themselves with this? It wasn't them. It was the feed.

The reason this is such a big deal is because it's a very dangerous precedent to set.

Because if they did it once they might do it again.

If they were really trying to pull a fast one on the NHL, why exactly would they then show the angle on the air that showed it a goal? If they didn't send it to the NHL, I'd have to think it was a mishap. I would still think a fine or some sort of action would be in order though.
