Looks like San Jose is going with their backup.

Greiss was the difference the last time we played them. Hopefully he's not due for a repeat performance. We seem to get the Sharks in B2B situations, which in theory should help us match up with them.

No Jovo hurts, though.

I have a sneaking suspicion this may be a game where we see some blatant examples of Eriksson's shortcomings. He's played fairly well, but I've seen a few hints of blunders to come.

So my key the game.....If Eriksson get's a point, the Coyotes get a least 1 point, if not, Coyotes lose.

I believe in Anders Eriksson

Additional ice time for Jim Vandermeer on the other hand gives me concern

Coyotes/Sharks Preview - Are the Coyotes going to play any other teams than the Sharks anytime soon?

He was pretty shaky when he was first signed (no surprise there). However, he's been a pretty good and responsible bottom 2 D-man so far. I'm liking the way he's been playing up to this point. I thought he was clicking with Lepisto pretty well.

Fortunately after tonights game we only have to play SJ, DET, Anaheim, and LA one more time each.

Looking at who we have remaining I'm surprised we haven't played Nashville yet this season.

ITo give some idea we have
4 games vs Nashville
3 games vs Colorado and Chicago and we have yet to play Chicago in Chicago.
4 games vs Dallas and yet to play in Dallas.
2 games vs Edmonton and all of them in Phoenix
2 with Calgary and Minnesota 1 home and 1 away each.

Lets get this home stand off right with a win. Bryz has been a little shaky as of late, but I predict a big game from him tonight. Jovo being suspended sucks, but we play the Sharks well, and we know how to attack them. Cmon Yotes we need 2.

I do think that Bryz probably needs to re-focus, or rest up for that matter..

I agree that Bryz needs rest but they should have started Barbs vs Vancouver and the Islanders.

Agreed...
Barbs was actually slated to start vs the Isles but Bryz took it away, and somehow Tippet and Burke agreed to it..

Just hoping that JL is up to the task tonight.

If Griess can make the Coyotes look ugly than barbs will be the Shark repellent we need tonight to leave em dead in the water, er, ice, if you get what I'm saying.

This is an important game. Nice to get Upshall back. Need to get back on the ball and string off a win here. Looking at the remaining schedule those games against Nashville, Chicago, and Colorado are going to be huge for the rest of the season.

Left wing lock was wrong earlier...that is not common. I am not liking how this is matching up.

there's the obligatory disallowed goal.

Got it out of the way early at least.
