HF boards the only place where you can gloat about your team being the worst in their respective league.

What the hell is wrong with you? It's hockey. Every team deserves Hall, again, its hockey. Whoever wins the lottery will get Hall and deserve him.

Take a step back, and quit trying to turn hockey into something its not.
Even the Pens?

No. I'm making a new rule about how many #1 picks you can get in a 10 year span.

If I was Taylor Hall I'd be petrified of going to Edmonton. Edmonton seems like a place prospects go to die these days...

Yeah. Jordan Eberle has had it rough since being drafted by the Oilers. His career is on a downward swing.

It's funny, but am I the only one thinking how much better off Buffalo might be over the long run if they'd just let Vanek go?

Anyways, I'm sidetracking the thread. Sorry.
Nope. Actually it would have been Tyler Myers,MPS,Hall,+ 2011 1st

Well, if the oilers had Vanek, they wouldn't have Penner. Just take out Penner and put in Vanek. Same production too (this year) probably.

Man, Buffalo could have had some good prospects. Eberle, MPS, Hall and Larsson.

You must be a whiz at winning pro line and lotteries being able to predict the future like this.

I like how you think your standings now are what matters... This is just a thread made so Edmonton fans can feel big saying "Not even close" to every offer.

We'll wait and see what Happens to Jordan in Edmonton. Nothing against The organization, but something just seems to be off with their development system they have in place no?

Do you REALLY think Edmonton would be where they are with Vanek in their line up? It's like Toronto. WITHOUT Kessel they probably are even worse than they are now WITH their first rounders.

Well actually it would be Gardiner, MPS, Hall and our 2011 pick since Eberle came from Anaheims 1st

Actually, it would be Myers, MPS, Hall and 2011 pick.

Anaheim had 12th from Edmonton. LA traded 17th and 28th to Anaheim for 12th. LA moved down to 13th acquired a 3rd rounder from Buffalo for 12th and Buffalo selected Myers with it, while LA got Teubert. 17th pick was Calgary's which they got Cammalleri from LA.

He has yet to make the team, and therefore be exposed to the wolfpack of the edmonton media and fans.

IF Edmonton finishes last and gets the 1st overall pick, and there is still a long way to go, they would be well served to keep it and draft Taylor Hall. Eberle, Hall, that Swedish dude, and the rest of their young players is a very good place to start a rebuild...

1st overall picks are rarely traded anyway. Unless it's something crazy like the 1999 draft.

This is a silly thread. The entire Oiler management team would be lynched in this city if they traded away our first ever 1st overall pick and they know it. There isn't a player available that could pry that pick from our hands right now.
