Syvret has an upper body injury. Bad luck for him as he was just finding his groove and playing well.

It was a clear boarding call, and though it was Ott, it wasn't suspendable. I was at the game and Syvret was just in a bad position. Come to think of it, Ott and his reputation plus the injury on the play still only got him 2 minutes...that should tell you that it wasn't really dirty in that way, just unfortunate.

When I saw it was Ott, I figured it was dirty as well. Sometimes a clean hit injures a player and hopefully he is back quickly as he has been playing well lately.

Who do you think? OKT has been cleared to play and this time he remains in the lineup if he's doing his job, and one of the rookies will have to sit or sent down when Parent returns.

He needs to take full advantage, OKT will only see about a dozen games this year.

He's happy being 7th, if that's what they want, as long as he gets his 600k. Specially now since he's started to score off the ice, as his wife is heavy and will deliver next month

Bring up someone from the AHL.

Reason being, they have been at least playing. Where's OKT hasn't.

Also, I didn't know Marshall wasn't with the Phantoms anymore. Anyone else see that?

The Flyers are on the ice at the Skate Zone, but three players are missing — Scott Hartnell (flu), Chris Pronger (unknown) and Danny Syvret (shoulder strain). More coming.

Last night on the injury report on CSN, it still had OKT as "injured" and not "healthy". FWIW.

And no, I didn't realize Marshall wasn't there anymore..

Parent's latest update:

http://www.csnphilly.com/pages/landi...546&feedID=695

Quote:
Ryan Parent says he feels “a lot better,” but is still about a week or so away from being cleared to play again.

Speaking publicly for the first time since before the New Year, the Flyers’ defenseman told CSNPhilly.com that he has been going through a comprehensive rehab program to strengthen his ailing back, and that he believes his injury will be solved in-season.

“When you have back issues, it’s something you can take care of,” Parent said after a 25-minute on-ice workout Wednesday at Skate Zone. “If you work it properly, it won’t be a problem again. Our goal is within a week or so. Obviously, we feel comfortable rehab is going to do the job.”

Syvret going on LTIR. Separated Shoulder.

Quote:
Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Danny Syvret is headed to long-term injured reserve.

The 24-year-old suffered a separated shoulder in the first period of the Flyers' 6-3 win over the Dallas Stars at the Wachovia Center on Tuesday night.

I knew I saw Hartnell holding his stomach on his last shift. He's probably having the same stomach flu I had last week. If so, he is in for a fun ride in the next few days.

Hopefully, it is a "maintenance day" for Pronger. Supposedly, all players are getting a day of rest as time allows.

Marshall is listed on the current roster.

He is also mentioned in the week in review.

Quote:
Rookie defenseman Kevin Marshall also tallied his first career AHL assist over the weekend. Marshall had the second assist on Andreas Nodl's third period goal against the Portland Pirates on Saturday in Glens Falls. It was his first career pro assist, but third point of his career.
