I thought it just said that he was on the ice for more goals for than against?

I'm not so sure a guy who's only played 6 games in the league can be considered one if its top 10 floaters.

Im pretty sure everyone in the NHL floats around the ice at times...so this is stupid.

Kane doesn't float anymore either...how can a playmaker be a floater.

Is this the same as a "cherry picker?" If so, I nominate Steve Sullivan.

Dany Heatley floats like a butterfly and stings like something that rhymes.

Georges Laraque

The guy doesn't move his feet, in all 3 zones.

How is Kovalev under Gomez. And Gomez isn't even a floater, he fights in the corners, he runs back and takes care of his defensive responsibilities.

I'd like to know how Gomez qualifies as a floater.

If this is allegedly him being better, I can only assume he never crossed center ice into his own zone last season.
I'm not real sure what Hawks games you've been watching but they certainly haven't been from this season. Before this season he was bad, but his defensive game has been good this year. He was a liability prior to this season but he's even gotten some PK time this year. He's much more responsible in his own end and always backchecks. I can't count how many times this year he's picked a guy's pocket on the backcheck and gone back the other way with the puck. He's never going to be a Selke winner but his defensive game has noticeably improved, though it couldn't have gotten much worse than it was prior to this season. He certainly has moved his way out of being on a Top 10 list of worst floaters in the league.

Yeah, He's overpaid and should shoot more, but I don't consider him a floater.

I saw him in games against the Wings. The second game around christmas he spent half the game cherry picking.

But as a young talented team and division rival, I've watched more than a handful of other games. I guess I just happen to catch the games he floats? Because I still see him coasting out there half the time, or hiding by the far boards looking for the breakout pass.

He may be better than last year, but I'd still put him in the top ten.

True. Too many people consider him a bad player just because of his salary. Truth is, he's a good player and he's far from being a floater.
