xxxxxx destroys Anisimov!

Chris Neil just dropped Artem Anisimov pretty good, and it made me think of how many times this poor kid has gotten rocked this year. It seems a few times a month, threads entitled something like "Anisimov destroyed by xxxxxxx" show up.

Is he just unlucky? Does he routinely put himself in vulnerable positions? He's played 46 games this year, so it seems like he bounces back pretty well.

Any other players get routinely wrecked?

He needs to keep his head up.

He'll learn with time.

Hemsky used to get wrecked a lot. Not all were his faults though but some of Regehr's
harder hits you can see coming from miles away and I usually scream at my tv but then
he gets hit of course...

Questionable hit. Seemed a bit late to my biased eyes.

This wasn't a head down hit like some of the others.

I thought it was too at first, but watching the replay I think he was just barley on the safe side, Neil that is

Listening to Joe M too much on the NYR telecast. It was a hard & clean hit IMO

Hit definitely not deserving of a thread IMO.

Anisimov hasn't been hit hard that many times this season. Maybe one other big hit that caused him to miss the rest of the game, I can't remember the incident though

Really? This hit deserves a thread? Kid was back up and didn't even miss a shift. Was a hard albeit slightly late hit. Big whoop.

I read the ****ing thread. It's about him getting "rocked". Clearly, by logic, the thread was started because of the hit in tonight's game.

Who are you to judge whether or not the hit is thread worthy? Thats for the mods to decide.

Come on Jon. It's about the consistency of his getting rocked.

His head was up, he figured he got rid of the puck in plenty of time to negate being hit. He still has to learn that the NHL likes to file late hits under "finished his check", so there really is no such thing as a late hit.

was a tad high too, IMO.

He's a big kid though and fairly durable I'm happy to see.

Unfortunately the Rangers don't give out that kind of punishment save for Callahan and sometimes Avery. But they lack the body mass to have a big impact.
