Very dirty slewfoot by Oshie on Ebbett. Just given a minor but this is a textbook slewfoot and I see a 1-2 game suspension. Ebbett did go down the runway to the locker room as he looks injured.

Went to school and played a lot of hockey with Oshie over the years. This is very out of character for him.

However, it was definately ugly. I wouldn't go around predicting suspensions, though. Who knows what will happen at this point.

Nothing of the sort in my opinion, they were battling and Oshie lost his balance and took Ebbett down as result. He's not the sort that would pull a move like that.

You're right that he isn't the sort of guy who's going to do it. But it most definately was a slewfoot. Arm in front of Ebbett and came back as Oshie's trailing leg followed through. It surely was a penalty, they didn't call it correctly, but I highly doubt he's suspended.

I also agree with the previous poster in that Boogaard was a clownshoe during the curfuffle. I'd say he's more likely to be suspended than Oshie.

I didn't think that was much of anything, you could see Oshie losing his balance didn't look anywhere near deliberate from my view.

Well I saw the replay once, so may need another look. I didn't recall anything that looked intentional. Its probable that as he was falling he put his arm up for balance, or to brace, resulting in a slew foot of sort. Again, i'll need to see the replay though.

The Wild feed replayed it over and over. And we were subjected to our aweful annoying "analysts" whining.

Aside for listening to those idiots moan, it was pretty clearly a slewfoot from the angle they showed directly behind the play itself.

You forgot the period at the end of your sentence. The guy you commented on swapped an "n" for a "t" - that was it. If you are going to nitpick that, at least do it grammatically correct.

Ebbett experiencing neck and back spasms. In brace. Wild very outspoken about what it feels was blatant Oshie slewfoot.

As a Wild fan, most all of us know they're jokes. They get incredibly hard to listen to. Especially on nights like this one with not much happening.

Agreed - but I find that they are better than they used to be. It used to be unbareable to watch, now it is just moderately painful.

The great Curt Keilback is a few hours North in Winnipeg. I say the Wild bring him in for next season.

Intentional? Probably not. It looked more accidental than anything.

Dangerous, blatant slew-foot? Absolutely. Refs badly blew the call on that one. It doesn't matter of an indecent was accidental or not. The penalty has to be called.

I agree that it was accidental (read: not dirty). But a penalty was called. Oshie put his arm across his chest. That's what caused the slew-foot - pulling him back over his leg, so calling a hold is fine. It's like when a guy trips someone away from the play. Call a trip, call interference, who cares?

Wow... What a worthless waste of a new topic!

I watched the game and I thought, "hmmm... that almost looked like Oshie slew-footed that guy..." and that was the extent of it. But "Suspension Worthy"! Are you kidding me?! Give me a break!

Accidental? Yes. But it WAS a slewfoot.
I doubt he gets suspended as he's never done anything like this before and the fact that it was accidental.

It sucks though and I hope Ebbett is okay.
