Moreau is not a very good hockey player, and based on his infamous post-game comments of the last season and a bit (especially him throwing Dubnyk under the bus recently), he's also not a very good person. I can't see why anyone would like Moreau as either. The man needs to issue some serious mea culpas if he doesn't want to end up as public enemy #1 in this city after he gets the inevitable heave-ho.

Even though I've seen it a couple times already, watching Durr bluff Safai with an all in and then seeing Safai lose a lot of money for the rest of the game cuz he's on really bad tilt is so much more entertaining than some of these games right now

That's what I've been tossing around in my mind lately. Is it just respect to guys that will in all likelihood leaving in the near future? Or are a lot of people honestly laying all the blame at the feet of our younger guys and again certain players getting a free pass?

I don't get that feeling from our new coaches but there seems to be some attitudes behind the curtains that are unhealthy to the future of this franchise. And thinking about what we are going to do with Horcoff moving forward quite frankly just depresses me.

Didn't catch where Moreau said this, but I really started to dislike him last year when he was on a radio interview and basically said the team had no talent...I have no links or proof of this, but I distincly remember it as it sounded absolutly ridiculous coming from the teams captain

I remember that too. He said that the talent on this team had been overrated and hyped up to be much more than what was there. He came off sounding pissed off that the younger guys had gotten a lot of attention about their skills and style of play, being so different from his own and other players on the team. What made me really angry is that he almost sounded smug that they weren't doing as well as anticipated or hoped.

That would be a first for Willis.

It's not Horcoff's fault, it's luck's fault.

Here's a thought. Maybe he's just a brutal player now?

7 game losing streak and a 4 game pointless streak.

They lost in overtime to Phoenix thus giving them 1 point in the last 7.

I never realized we have only mustered 1 win in our last 15.

5 game winning streak
7 game losing streak
1 game winning streak
7 game losing streak

Judging by the look of this a 5 game winning streak is up ahead.

Some good research indeed, but also just another blogpost in the long line Horcoff defenses.

When you win one game, it's not a winning 'streak'

I'm an Oiler fan. I'll take anything I can get. If I want 1 game won to count as a streak then so be it.

I enjoyed the game. Team is going nowhere but I still see a lot of players getting better. And the ones getting better are the ones that will still be here when we start winning again.

Ganger really bringing it. Cogliano looked good. Best action of the day was Cogs and Ganger working the boards behind the net like crazy doing the grunt work, winning the battle to feed Penner who was having a smoke and a coffee hanging out in the slot. Classic. lol

Sully looking like the guy I thought we traded for last year. If he can play like that I would gladly change my opinion of him.

Souray. sigh. My favourite Oiler last year. Did Iginla knock the spunk out of him? Did he just quit because he knows the season is lost? Whatever it is it sure doesn't look good on him. Bye bye. Say whatever you will about Horcoff but I've never seen him mail it in. Ever.

Damn. lol I'm almost giddy looking ahead with this team. And I'm envious of Tambellini. He is in the perfect place to remold this team. Lots of good pieces here. Some great prospects coming. Fan expectation rock bottom. I just hope he has the vision of what this team will need in 3 to 5 years and get to work bringing it here.

Gagner and Cogliano need to tone it down a little bit. If they keep playing well they'll end up getting the team points and obliterate more cap space next year.

My same fears. They need to "try" to cap their point total to less than or equal to 50 points by game 82

The only player I want to see productive is Penner He's here long term or traded for high pick anyway so might as well make him worth it...though like what Meinpuck-something said, question his "drive". I think he jsut doesn't feel its worth carrying the load no more

Either that or memo.

Tencer just doesn't know the game. I think it's that simple.

Not to mention, Patrick Marleau scored his league-leading 32nd goal today.

Can't wait to see what excuse the HorCult has for not wanting to pursue that trade

Yeah I remember then telling people I'd much rather have Marleau, but hey, I'm sure Horc would be doing more than Marleau is if he had Thornton and Heatley as linemates.

For Horcoff this year, it's come down to some freakishly bad goaltending while he's on the ice with Patrick O'Sullivan
It is JDD's fault that Horcoff is on pace for 35 points?

Another loser post by one of Horcoff's lackeys. Horcoff could finish -1000 with zero points on the season and the Horcult would try and find a way to rationalize it in 10's favor.

I think some of those lackies are trying to get hired on full-time.
