loved when he asked henke if he thought he was in for a tough night falling behind 2-0 and henke just wanted to laugh.

Hopefully we did not use up all our offense for the next 4 games!

Further cementing my opinion that on most nights, I want Voros in instead of Brash. He might skate with reckless abandon but I like his forecheck and gritty play.

What a game.

I was really hopin Avery or someone was going to flatten wanna-be tough guy Lapierre. That guy only goes after smaller Russians that don't fight. (although he had to tackle the much smaller Prucha when he realized Pru had no problem standing toe-to-toe with him)

1 game is nice, but lets see that kind of effort on a regular basis. They've had good games here and there, but the key is sustaining it. Simple hockey. Skate hard, finish checks, get the puck on net, bodies in front. Simple.

finally played like a team tonight, sticking up for one another, protecting henrik. Loved the fourth line energy. very satisfying, hope we can maintain , that is our biggest problem. But I do feel that something happened tonight that brought everyone together, getting all fuzzy inside.....

Quite a few PPs tonight. Probably the reason mostly.

By next week we'll be complaining again about lack of scoring production.

didn't even play too bad in the first, just made some mistakes that the Habs scored on (and that second goal was a high stick...)

Lundqvist came up with a few big saves when the Rangers were only up by one

As much as I thoroughly enjoyed the last 40 mins, I had these thoughts:

1) Montreal stinks. Nice to see Gomez still make stupid plays. Gionta is a player. He was out-muscling bigger guys along the boards all night.

2) Micheletti was unbearable tonight. He was out of control. He's slowly rising up the ranks of the biggest homers and schills out there. For all of you who were fortunate to miss the MSG telecast, just watch the replay of the Columbus game. I know we havent had much to cheer about tonight, and it's his job to keep us motivated, but I never felt like kicking in my TV during a pro-Ranger blowout as i did tonight.

3) For all those complaining (away from this board) about Cally making Team USA, keep hating. The kid is arguably the best two-way forward we've had since Graves and I still think he get's a captaincy and a selke once Datsyuk retires or goes to the KHL .

4) Did anybody see the Dad holding his small child fall when he was trying to catch the puck Dubi threw during the 3-stars ceremony? Note to all parents out there...child>puck...again, child>puck

5) Memo to Torts: If the top line struggles in the next game....DONT BREAK THEM UP!!!!! have some patience. They obviously have chemistry.

6) Henrik is about two weeks away from being a Vezina finalist, which is amazing considering how poor his start was. Since December 1, he has the best GAA and SVPCT in the NHL.

I've felt like the longer he's been here and the more comfortable he's gotten with his job, the more irritating he has become. I don't have a major problem with him overall, but just saying.

I'd really like the see Joe be gone. He's starting to interrupt Sam's call of the game for seemingly minutes at a time. I don't know if anyone heard Danny Blackburn on radio a couple of games ago, but that's a guy who would be a great color commentator to Sam. He's honest, breaks down defensive coverages well, and is relatively young. Too bad he's too successful to go into broadcasting.

I love Dubi, but after the spectacular game he had, one must consider his trade value going up.

How about we call Atlanta and swap no. 17's?

YES! GREAT GAME! **** YOU, GOMEZ! SUCK ON THAT, YOU STUPID, LAZY, ANNOYING ******!

So, I watched this game at a couple of bars tonight. I encountered a Quebecois in the second bar. Got into it with him a little. They threw me out when I dumped half a Blue Moon on his ****ing head when Gaborik scored. I'm still drunk.

Seriously, can we give Callahan the 'C' yet? He's obviously the closest thing to Adam Graves since that moron Sather traded Gravy to the Sharks.

Anyway, this was the only game that I really, truly needed this team to win this season. **** Gomez. Okay, Blueshirts, feel free to go back to sucking now.

Saw that too... and I think that guy/kid got at least two of the three pucks... the first and second (third and second stars') pucks were both thrown to them from what I saw... and the third puck (first star's) was thrown in that area, but the camera cut away before you could see who got it.

Thought it was a funny observation.
