Sulzer to Milwaukee Admirals

Alexander Sulzer has been reassigned to the Milwaukee Admirals, and will join the team in San Antonio Saturday night.

The move is neccessary - as Teemu Laakso left Friday night's game after aggravating his injury, leaving Miwlaukee with only five healthy defensemen on the roster.

Good. I hope he gets a ton of minutes and they keep him down there. I would much rather him replace Klein on our roster, but it's pointless to keep scratching him. Let him stay down til were gonna play him regularly.

He told Admirals play-by-play man Aaron Sims that he'll stay with Milwaukee for Tuesday's game, and then take it day by day after that.

That sounds promising. Still wish we'd utilize Klein in a trade at the deadline and call Sulzer up for the remainder. Even if he's not 100% ready, I still prefer him over Klein no matter who he's paired with.

Umm...Klein was recently signed to a three-year extension...that eliminates him from the trade block at least until next season at the earliest. You don't do that to a player...

Preds recall Alexander Sulzer, leave Ads with 5 healthy defensemen again. Laakso will give it another try Thursday.

Yes, Sulzer is in Nashville with the Predators although he was not officially recalled. Sulzer had mentioned to Aaron Sims (Ads radio guy) that he would be back in Nashville Wednesday over the weekend.

Think this was planned as a recall date, but don't know whether or not Sulzer will be officially recalled until tomorrow at the earliest. No real reason why though...Sulzer is on a one-way contract and is exempt from waivers so he isn't affecting the cap one way or the other and isn't exposed to being claimed by another team...

It is kinda confusing...

Yeah - we're about as lost on this as possible.

Sulzer went to Nashville, and we had word from an official source with the Admirals that he was recalled. However, we were informed later in the day that - while he was in Nashville - he was not actually recalled.

We are still not certain of the nature of his trip, and it still remains possible that he will be back in Milwaukee for Thursday's game.
