Injuries

Defenseman Willie Mitchell (upper body) was the only player missing from Vancouver's practice on Tuesday. Another defenseman, Kevin Bieksa, met with the media for the first time since undergoing surgery on a lacerated leg. He has missed eight games and hasn't been cleared to skate. … Injuries haven't helped the Oilers, who've lost forward Ales Hemsky for the season with a shoulder problem and Nikolai Khabibulin for the foreseeable future with a back injury that needs surgery. CenterMike Comrie has missed two months with mononucleosis. Forward Gilbert Brule has missed three games and Ryan Stone sat out Monday night due to illness, while defenseman Steve Staios didn't play Monday due to a concussion.

Who's Hot?

Vancouver's Henrik Sedin has taken over the NHL scoring lead with 9 points in his last five games, including a goal and a pair of assists against Pittsburgh. Linemate Alex Burrows has 11 goals in his last seven games after scoring on a shorthanded breakaway against the Penguins. … Oilers forward Patrick O'Sullivan has 4 points in his last four games.

KEY TO THE GAME: Hide in the dressing room until its over.

I don't know if I'm included in the population, but I'm still with the Oilers. Haven't missed a game this season.

Here's to the Fall for Hall

Most of the people here are still with the Oilers. It's hard to follow along, hard to watch and hard to stomache, but we all still bleed orange.

I've followed all the games with the exception of when they over lapped with the WJC games. Strangely enough, the lack of emotional output is kind of relaxing right now. We win... Yay, we won! We lose... Yay, we still won!

Maybe the Oil take a page from the Leafs book and start winning when they shouldn't?

we need to decide if the bandwagon is for the oilers to suck for the rest of the year and finally get a blue chip prospect or to start winning and draft in the middle of the lotto group again

Taking an ass-reaming from the Canucks wouldn't be so bad except you KNOW that after the game ends their fans will all be in here like cockroaches on garbage.

Well since the Oilers were just bag skated to death, i really think that they will come out guns blazing and they will......

Still lose, who am i kidding

Canucks 6
Oilers 2
And about 5,000 Canuck fans chanting Oilers Suck because they don't know how to chant for their own team.

I don't care if we lose as long as we stand up for ourselves and put a bit of beat down on some of the Canorcs. I hold out little hope for it but I'd like to see a real mean and nasty game from the oilers this eve.

Impossible. You're just here to troll and to "leech" off our GDT since HFOil has better GDTs than HFNucks

3rd game in a row I will miss due to me forgetting about the game and making plans. This isn't like me!

I used to NEVER make plans with my friends before checking one of my many Oilers schedules, and now I do it 3 games in a row.

I'm hoping the Oilers could actually pull this one out, but I have a better chance of mowing the lawn on my ass with a butter knife, at least the knife has a bit of an edge.
Anyhou, please do not let the Canuckleheads chant Oilers suck in our arena. Give them a backhand or forehand, it will be the best shot we see all night I reckon.
