Starting to dominate the league the way Malkin did before he broke into the NHL. I think he's more than a point per game clip since the WJC.

They are two different kind of players, Kuznetsov also appears to play with more heart but he doesn't possess the same shot as Semin has.

He has some versatility as well. I think he can play any of the forward spots.
Competent player in his own zone as well.

I've heard that he is about to break Russian league record in point scoring for player of his age (which belongs to Bure?). Is that true?

I believe it's not true.
Kuznetsov drafted 2010, season 2010-11 26points
Malkin drafted 2004, season 2004-05
32points
Bure drafted 1989, season 1989-1990 24points, 88-89 season 26points.

Kuznetsov also has the second-most goals ever in a season for a Russian player under 19-years old. That record belongs to the late Alexei Cherepanov. Cherepanov scored 18 goals in the 2006-07 KHL regular season and chipped in another three in the playoffs. In comparison, Alex Ovechkin had 13 in the regular season at this age (15 overall), and Pavel Bure totaled 14.

Not to take anything away from Kuz, but do those records mean anything anymore? Those were established in the RSL days, yes? Hasn't the league changed and expanded significantly since then?

The KHL is firmsly established as the strongest league in Europe and has alot of good Non-Russian players who simply aren't designed for the NHL game. I didn't follow the RSL when that existed, but i'd be suprised if the level of that was any better than the current KHL version of it.
What Kuznetsov is doing is pretty sick. He's one of the best prospects outside the NHL at this point.

I'd say talent poll is bit more diluted in KHL (and the gap between top and bottom teams is very big),than it was 5 years ago. But to be fair, every record (in every league) is achieved under unique circumstances and can be argued one way or another about actual weight record carries.

Granted.
But Kuznetsov plays for one of the bottom teams.
