If the weather is as bad as predicted, it's going to be a ghost town!!! No matter, I really hope the Yotes can come our and remain strong in this game. They need to wash off the incredible funk that was the Sabres game. Jesus that was horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully the team has a bounce back game and responds to that terrible Sabres game. I think how they play this one is going to go a long way in determining how well they do the rest of the season...especially against Nashville who they are going to be fighting in the standings for the rest of the year.

should be a good one tonight! Preds have been bad at home but have won 5 straight on the road.

Dumont is out with the flu, Tootoo may return to the lineup tonight. Dan Ellis in goal. Also, Colin Wilson is in the AHL at the moment.

How do the Preds usually play when their dad's are at games?

Should be a good battle, the yotes better come out fired up after taking such a beating to the Sabres. Bryz needs a good game.

Based on Tippet's pre-game comments and the Sabres game, I expect the Yotes to come out fired up and play a full hard fought 60 minutes.
This will be a tough close game - the Preds have won some big games this year by 1 goal.
With so many western conference teams in action tonight we need these 2 points to avoid falling back in the standings.
GO YOTES!!!

Might be a record low for attendance tonight. Might be six inches of rain today and it's going to get worse between now and the game.

The weather will most defeneatly effect the crowd tonight big time. At the time fans would start heading to the arena forcasts call for very heavy rain and wind gust approaching hurricane speed at 65 mph.

My ticket is already bought so I'm there. But I live much closer than most too so my drive won't be awful and I don't have to take the freeways. I might have to wear one of my junky sweaters though since I don't want a good one getting drenched.

Yeah, this sucks. I hate to miss a game, but don't wanna get caught in a hurricane-type wind gust.

So since this is the first game against you guys I have to ask.

How is Vern Fiddler doing and what type of role is he in? He was a perfect utility guy in Nashville and I see his numbers are slightly up.

Basically the same. Perfect utility guy. He was sorely missed when he was injured too.

EDIT: actually we are kinda hoping he picks up the goal scoring pace a bit since he is off of his 11 goal pace.

Aside from Winnik I'd say he is one of the main reasons that our PK is as good as it is. He has been great in his time here

2 lazy bums called in sick so now I have to be on call till at 6pm in case more call out.
Thank god for the radio, right? At least I don't have to look at how bad Tyson Nash is on tv as his radio commentary.

I hope we win in regulation while LA and Anaheim get crushed.

Fidds primarily centers the grinding 4th line and kills penalties. I have been nothing short of blown away by this guy. Enigmatic energy guy, flies all over the ice, great in the face-off circle, he forechecks, backchecks, hits anything that moves and is not afraid to stand up to anyone regardless of size.

He's winged that fourth line as well and is one of the most-relied upon two-way forwards.

As you know he'll never be a an offensive force, but that doesn't stop him from playing aggressively in the offensive zone. I also believe he deserves a lot of credit for the development of Winnik this year.

How is Sullivan this year...he's had some good games against the Coyotes and got a little chippy with Doan last year. Arnott always seems to score big goals against the Coyotes. Thank goodness Peverley is gone, he used to always light up the Yotes. Ryan Jones reminds me of a young Shane Doan.

C'mon a little wind? You're not gonne get swept up like Toto. Old Jets fans certainly aren't going to allow you to use weather as an excuse.

For those that may not be aware, a warning means a tornado has been spotted (not necessarily touched down though) and a watch means that while one hasn't been spotted, the conditions are ripe for spawning one.

On a side note, if a tornado hits, you're much safer in the arena than at your house!
