Evgeny Artyukhin

In my opinion this is the guy we should go after, I realize he won't put up the points, but theres no denying this guy is a monster..... nothing like a 6'5 250pound player who can skate aswell, also he's a plus 3 on a bad Tampa team, I would love to have this guy on my team, all the TB games I have seen this guy is so visible on the ice, he has literally separated 2 shoulders of 2 different players with pure clean checks along the boards.

He is a monster. And he has some decent hands as well. I'd love him here.

He's cheap and talented...music to the TB owner's ears.

I doubt he's going anywhere.

Yes! Artyukhin would be a great addition to our line up. He's a great skater for such a big guy and he would bring some needed size and strength to the line up. The Habs need a guy like this, especially in the playoffs.

That was like the AK Atlanta goal in slow motion...

He would be a pain to opponents but we have too many wingers already, who sits or moves?

I would love this guy....

Habs Healthy lineup with Artukyn (spelling)

In no particular order:

AK Lang SK - This line has been great.
Higgins Koivu Tanguay - They will fresh and ready for a huge second half
Artukyn Plekanec Kovalev - Artukyn is exactly what this line needs, a guy who can go hard to net, protect Montreal's skilled players and at the same time he can play.
Latendresse Lapierre Kostopoulos - This line is often Montreal's best

Unfortunately for these two guys they are the odd guys out due to sheer numbers and should only see ice time when someone needs a rest or is playing bad.

Begin
Laraque
Dandenault

Back to the minors - Pacioretti Stewart and D'Agostini

Now in order to get Artukyn my proposed deal would be:
Chipchura for Artukyn and a 5th rounder

Another overrated big guy...

He wouldn't crack our lineup right now... maybe with all the injuries and on the 4th line, but who cares, he's 6'5 255, he must be great...

Nobody is saying he's great but he has size combined with good speed and decent hands.
He'd make a very good 3rd line player.

Come to think of it...

Latendresse - Lapierre - Artyukin looks mighty nice to me...

This guy seems like Ponikarovski with roid rage. He's pretty cheap as well, punching guys on their knees and knocking players backwards without their helmets on. They keep talking about the next player to smack his head on the ice, this guy will probably cause it. Bit of a meathead if you ask me.

So aside from his obvious physical attributes, is there any reason why a top team with forward depth such as the Habs should pick him up?

I think if the Habs are looking for a young guy that can fight as well as score they should scout Chris Stewart in Colorado. He throws bombs like a heavy, and he might be a 25+ goal scorer. He seems to be a Chris Neil type of player.

Has nothing to do with just size, size would be amazing but the boy hits like a beast, he's an animal on the ice, I've watched a few TB games and personally I like this guy, watch him play before you comment

I also dont get why players are fighting with a visor, ridiculous, they should remove their helmet before any fights..

As for Artyukhin, I also liked what I saw from the guy the few times I saw him play and he could definitely help against a big team like Boston.. I didnt see him much and dont know if he plays a consistent and intensive game but if he does, would be great to have another big guy in our line-up..

Would be absolutely thrilled to have this guy, he's huge, is a very good skater with speed, he plays a very aggressive brand of hockey and hits anything that moves. He's a treat to watch, that's for sure, saw him 4-5 times already, and wow. But, in his case, consistency is the problem. Also, he won't ever wow anybody with his hands... but who cares on a 4th line, or when the guy parks himself in front of the net...
