We should have won, we outplayed them most of the game, and to lose on a crappy call like that sucks

Laraque will not play another game as a Canadian

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=307080

Quote:
General manager Bob Gainey contacted him Thursday morning and told him that head coach Jacques Martin didn't had any confidence in him anymore and the team believes they can win without the enforcer in the lineup. The club does not intend to play him for the rest of the season and will buy him out at the end of the 2009-10 campaign.

My first post in your news thread BlueBelle, I really appreciate the time you take to save me time.

A couple of quotes that caught my eye:

"That's their game ... they move the puck really well. I guess they didn't have to show up for the five-on-five game, just score the power-play goals," - Grebeshkov (on the Sedins)

"Only six teams in the last four years, since the work stoppage, have been to the Stanley Cup final. Only six out of 30 and one of them is the Edmonton Oilers." - Bettman

I still find it funny that Pisani gets a stick in the face causing a cut and acts less injured than when a Canuck gets a jersey lightly held. "Did my jersey just get lightly pulled? Oh, my GAWD MEDIC, MEDIC! Oh the humanity" *lays on the ice* "Ref I just wanna say ..tell my wife and kids I'm going to miss them *cough* It's getting dark in here..*closes eyes* *opens one eye*.."did we get a PP yet? "

Rig the lottery, Bettman. That is what's really important to the Oilers rebuilding process. Oh, I get it...rebuilding.

I love the rumours of the day where two toronto based newspapers say they improved play of a few soon to be UFA's increase their trade value---leaf fans on the trade board are aleady asking for 2 second rounders for them---once the see that they will be asking for first rounders for them jeez

Specifically what are you saying here? Once who sees that they will be asking for first rounders for whom? Do you mean once Leafs fans see that other Leafs fans are asking for second rounders they'll up their asking price? If this is what you mean where is that logistic? Oh I think you mean once Leafs management sees that fans on a messageboard are asking for second rounders they'll up their asking price. My God that's hard work, reading your posts is like trying to solve the DaVinci Code.

Embellishing is a good strategy for the Canucks. They are lethal on the PP and really good in 4 on 4 situations.

Why not try to get the game there as much as you can?

Knowledge that a team like the Canucks will never succeed makes me feel alright this morning. They are still canuckleheads after all is said and done.

^^^Times two.

I have no problems if they keep losing but this has really got to start to sting for the players. I really believe there putting in an effort but the hockey gods want us to pick first at the draft!

I chose other. The reffing last night made me very upset, especially the OT call. Absolutely pathetic. I hate losing to the Canucks, but to lose like that makes me especially angry.
