No offense but that's complete garbage. How are the Rangers doing with Tortarella? Wilson with the Leafs?

Lapierre should shut the hell up and play his game. Minus Cammalleri, Gomez, Gionta, Pouliot and the goalies, nobody should have the privilege to make these kind of antics lately.
I would subtract Gomez from that list

Darkest day in Habs history part VIII

Being a Predators or Wings fan must be quite relaxing...

Anybody who knows how to analyse the game knew too damn well how Latendresse helped Lapierre and more often than not lead the pace of that line in the offensive zone.

I've been calling Lats' breakout year for months, just watch my post history from this summer and from September. I've also been calling an off-year for Lapierre. This was just painfully obvious.

Latendresse, Lapierre and Kostopoulos complemented each other very well and that's why they were one of our best lines on even strength.

Lapierre's speed and strong forechecking were key components to this line success. I am surprised that you did not notice it.

Anyhow… I hope Martin finds a way to extract the best of Lapierre.

Lapierre will be the next to be waived or bought out.

And I can't wait...

I'll repeat it for you: this was ALL Lats. The minute Latendresse got hurt against Boston, Lapierre was much less effective, much less visible and much less aggressive. Latendresse was great at creating space for both of Lapierre and Kostopoulos with both his skills and his size. Lapierre can't create space for himself, and doesn't have the required skillset to generate things in the offensive zone regularly. He's an energy player, a 4th line center.

The success of this line was all Lats. I'm not even shy of repeating it.

Maybe Lapierre should be fighting the other teams top players.

You don't care how much your colleagues make?

You don't care if someone who does the same job as you, makes 15% more than you?

No and thats the whole problem. Sometimes the slacker is making more money then others who work harder and smarter. This leads to bad morale in the workplace, and can hurt productivity for the unit as a whole.

What if ?

Lapierre had injured Cammy during their fight in practise ? That has to be the stupidest thing Yappy has done with the Habs, throwing punches at our only 20 goal scorer. I don't care what Cammy said you as a plug just don't do that. Besides never fighting against opponents, he drops them against our best player. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't the next one that's gone !

After him, Mara, Metropolit, Moen and.... Markov! ;(

Actually, given the way Lapierre fights, the bigger concern might be Cammy hurting him.
