Something the Habs need to do in the next round

It's something I think is pretty obvious and I'm pretty confident the team will do but I think the habs really have to hit alot and play physical against a team like Tampa. With Tampa being a similar team as us relatively small and quick I think we really need to hit especially there top six guys who are quite fast like st.louis, stillman, modin ect. I think the habs just have to get the message across that every time they touch the puck a hab player is going to lay the body on them, and if it doesn't slow them down physicly it will just take away their comfort with the puck so they feel more timid with the puck especially in our end. I realize we don't have the biggest team but we have some pretty big guys on D and some other players who can really hit like Boullion and Begin ect. and I think they should really set the tone. Like I said before I'm pretty confident the habs will try and play a physical game but the reason I bring it up is because I watched some of their last series and I don't know if it was like this the whole time but the parts I watched it just seemed like the Islander's weren't hitting them enough, it just seemed like a regular season game not nearly the same physicality or intensity of leafs-sens or even habs-boston and I don't think they will be able to handle the more physical highly intence series like the ones I mentioned before, which we should try to make this series similar to. Along with the fact that Khabulin played awesome I think this was a big factor in why the lightning were able to take them out quite easily in 5. So if we show them some real physical playoff hockey(which the Isles didn't do) I think it will really enhance our chances of beating them cause just trying to beat them with speed will be tough.

Im not talking about the series Eddy, im talking about lining up checks and finishing them. Fast team are tough to body check, because they use their speed do well to get around them.

By the way, i do agree that the series will be tough, if not very tough!

I realize what you meant and I totally agree it will be hard to check them but what I meant is that hitting them is going to be one of the many tough factors the team will have to endure in order to win the series. I think were pretty much agreeing I just should have been a little more specific.

You know... it's hard to say, it'll be much easier to make judgements after we've seen game 1 though. The difference in this series will be the Bulin wall Vs The franchise and considering our defensive corp > tbay's d i like our chances.

I dont know if our D is better. According to most reports, TB's D is slightly better.

What experts? the experts who said the habs had no chance vs bruins? the ones that said we wouldnt make the playoffs?
Screw the so-called experts, because so far they've been nothing but wrong.

Exactly! So long as the experts keep betting against us, I'll keep putting my money on us!
