Olympic Line Combos

One thing's for sure: I'd really like to see the Sedins with Alfredsson. Henrik is the NHL's points leader, and Alfie will be steaming into the break. Could be the best line in the tournament, IMO.

Sedin - Sedin - Alfredsson
Eriksson - Bäckström - Hörnqvist
Holmström - Zetterberg - Weinhandl
Modin (let's hope not) - Påhlsson - Sjöström (let's hope)

There is one thing that I'm absolutely sure of and that is that Bäckström and Eriksson should play on the same line - I've been wondering, since the middle of last year, how they would do together and I absolutely can't wait for the Olympics and hopefully I will get to see them on the same line.

Can't argue with those, although I still put my hopes in a healthy Franzén and Forsberg instead of Modin & Sjöström.

Would feel a bit weird to see Zetterberg doing 3rd line duty, but maybe it's the logical choice since his line would be a great matchup against the other teams top line.. but then I wouldn't like to see Weinis on his line. A line of Eriksson-Zetterberg-Alfie would be shutdown and offensive awesomeness..

Sedin-Sedin-Hörnqvist
Eriksson-Zetterberg-Alfie (PWNAGE line)
Forsberg-Bäckström-Weinhandl
Modin-Påhlsson-Holmström

Actually doesn't seem very well balanced, this is what I'd like to see

Zetterberg-Bäckström-Hörnqvist(/Alfie)
Sedin-Sedin-Alfie(/Horny)
Eriksson-Forsberg-Weinhandl
Modin-Påhlsson-Holmström

Yeah, I'm hoping Forsberg will actually show up.

It just hit me.. Our team is quite awesome really hehe.. Three dangerous lines, that's how we roll

As for D-pairings, something like this seems probable (hopefully):

Lidström-Kronwall
Enström-Öhlund
Murray-Oduya
Tallinder-Johansson

Weinhandl is on the team for the Sedins, otherwise he wouldn't have made it. I am no hater (far from it) but the competition is to tough. Forsberg will show up, he has prepared himself while being away, it isn't because he is injured still. Mark my words.

Sedin Sedin Weinhandl
Zetterberg Bäckström Alfredsson
Forsberg Hörnqvist Holmström
Modin Påhlsson Eriksson (shut down and even PK, but Eriksson is a bad fit)

Forsberg Bäckström Alfredsson on PP.

Lidström-Enström (two way with offensive edge)
Öhlund-Kronwall (shut downers)
Murray-Oduya (tough guys)
Tallinder-Johansson (back ups)

I think we might rotate RW forwards to finally arrive at working lines with options:

Sedin - Sedin - Weinhandl (Alfredsson)
Forsberg - Bäckström - Hörntand (really like this line, two young "skaters" and one slow oldie with bags of tricks)
Eriksson - Zetterberg - Holmström (combo line) (Weinhandl)
Modin - Påhlsson - Alfredsson (5-5) (Holmström)

NO Sjöström. They will laugh at us if he plays.

Lidström - Kronwall
Öhlund - Oduya
Murray - Tallinder
Enström - Johansson

Sedin - Sedin - Alfredsson = red hot line

Btw, who do we have now when Forsberg is absent to cross check opponents in final seconds who are about to go to attack ?
