Carcillo could have pounded on him as he was falling and as he hit the ice. He held backbig time. He sholdnt have held back and kept pounding away.

Hartnell just ko'ed avery.

I think everybody watching the Caps/Pens game should switch to this one cause I'm watching both and the Flyers/Rangers game is clearly better.

^ Yeah this one looks much more exciting. I'll just switch between both

Great to see Avery get dropped. Props to him for dropping them with a bigger guy though.

Not sure that's a negative for the Flyers.

When the guy is on the ice and out of the fight you stop throwing.

He's fought him before, http://www.hockeyfights.com/fights/90629

There is history, but this time Hartnell got the upperhand and Avery had nothing on him.

Carcillo grabbed Gaborik in front of the net because Gaborik was cross checking someone and Gaborik dropped the gloves to fight and got a beat down.

NHL players don't do that, in case you were unaware. It's called: respect.

That's right. Gaborik just decided to drop the gloves because Carcillo asked him to?

Carcillo cross checked and shoved him repeatedly and Gaborik doesn't take crap like that and dropped the gloves first to defend himself. It was provoked.

NHL players certainly do that. It's against the code, but it happens too often.

Are you for real? Watch some more hockey fights. Half of them the opponents keep hitting the guy.

... but, but that couldn't of just happened. To the majority of people here Avery is a nail polish wearing, hand bag carrying *****. There is absolutely no way he could have mounted the courage to give up 4 inch and 15 pounds and challenge Hartnell..... He's way to much of a ***** to do that!

Either way he dropped the gloves, he's a man not a little girl and you guys are acting like he can't defend himself. He did and got beat up. While Dubinsky was near by and so was Girardi and Redden and they didn't do anything except Dubinsky yapped away while he was in the penalty box.

Yea yea ******** ******** and more ********. He was doing what everyone else was doing, grabbing another opponent. Whatever. Gaborik got his ass handed to him. Stop complaining.

That was funny, think carcillo could have done much worse, he was just teaching gaborik a lesson, that is carcillo's job, he is one of the best at it

The exception to the rule.

The poster above was calling for it, promoting such action.

Might want to talk to him, instead of me.

I am just clarifying the situation that you, a Devils fan, left out a few facts.

Gaborik certainly defended himself and dropped the gloves first and lost the fight, but don't diminish the fact Carcillo started it.
