No, Hamilton needs a team, then something will happen.

We used to have a private owner that cared enough to invest a great deal of his time and interest toward the hockey decisions made by his General Managers. It didn't work.

What was the "unsportsmanlike" penalty Poni took?
Wilson said it was a standard call, he actually wasn't upset. He said the player coming into the ice shouldn't play the puck, it's okay to jump into the ice first, but it's a penalty to play the puck before the other player gets on the bench. (I'm just paraphrasing from his short press conference that I heard on Leafs' Talk).

Unfortunately

They have built this monster that steals our money then laughs at us as they're counting it behind our backs .

Interesting, he looked pissed to me. My main issue was the delay in the play and it seemed like Stajan was opening the door as Primeau was touching the puck. Could've been upset with Primeau though.

Blaming the refs, hey that never gets old. Yeah, the refs were bad, but there were bad calls both ways. I swear, every post game thread in a game which was close, at least a third of the comments are about the reffing. Guess what, it happens to everyone.

That St. Louis call was textbook hitting from behind.

Both teams played terribly, the Lightning have the skill to make up for it however.

Neither team really played well enough to deserve the win tonight. We did get some calls against us, yeah, but I wouldn't blame the loss on those. The too-many-men in particular, while it wasn't called against Tampa, really had to be called on us since we had an offensive break as a result of it. Gustavsson wasn't that sharp on all of his goals tonight, though I wouldn't say he really screwed up very badly on them. Just needs to have better puck control and get out of the crease more. Both our goalies have a strange tendency to let in shots from mid-long distance that are unscreened with regularity.

And neither is this. Don't know maybe change the team's name to the Toronto status quo

I have an issue with that too because Cuthbert or McGuire was saying Tocchet was calling out to the refs from the bench -- perhaps the ref(s) called it because of Tocchet. Oh well, a point...meh...I'm just hoping the Leafs get out of the lottery pick position in final 30 games.

Maybe we should assume the business people who run MLSE will be bright enough to figure out that winning = revenue? It's pretty basic, everyone in hockey knows it, so I'm assuming they do too.

How were the goals Gusto let in? I only saw the last one, can't really fault him. Haven't seen any "needed a big save there" comments though.

Do you people really think that the ownership wants this team to lose...?

The Pension Plan definitely wants us to win...imagine the city, heck even the country if the Leafs (when the Leafs) start putting together playoff runs again.

The ratings will be sky high.

I'd like to start a "Rally" outside of the ACC to show MLSE we're tired of complete ****ing garbage, and "rebuilding".

Fire everyone, take the teachers out of the equation, and get Ballsillie to buy the team. He certainly seems set on owning a team...

Some fans tried that in the summer of 2003, a lot of good that did.

You could argue that he could have played the first goal a little better, or you could say that it was a perfectly placed shot by Stamkos.

He was good otherwise. He made at least 5 key saves.

What exactly do some of you think the Teachers do? I'm genuinely curious...

Yeah. He's got some work to do, but he's the best we've got.

The Leafs are an asset the teachers sit on. That's about it. I really think some have a picture of them in an ivory tower cackling to themselves after losses. I don't think they realize what having a meddling owner like Wang is like.
