Ray might be one of the better goalies in the league on first shots. That he can see. Maybe he'll settle down and his stickhandling won't become a problem. The rebounds? Eh, our D is just gonna have to adapt.

This game reminded me of yesterday's - we should have been up 3 or 4 midway through the 3rd, but their goalie kept it close all game.

Emery was the difference maker in that period. His post to post came in handy.
Not the kind of game I was expecting from the Canes but I'll take the 2 points any day.

I'm sweating like it's the gold metal game of the olympics. Great finish.

Great win, but they played sloppy today. Tomorrow they need to play like they did against NY. I'm sure guys will be tired though...

With games in hand. We're in good shape as of today if you normalize everyone and give people expected point totals (slightly more than 1 point a game). Still work to do, but if they roll into the Olympic break (and some good wins, and taking care of the weak opponents will let 'em do that), we're well positioned to maybe make a run for the Pens down the stretch.

missed the last 5 min, glad to hear Emery kept us in it.

I think Laviolette should have taken a timeout before the penalty shot, Richards was gassed

He used the timeout earlier in the game.

He had already used the Timeout in the 2nd period.

He is 7th in scoring, 4th in +/-, 7th in PP goals, and 5th in TOI... If he keeps it up any chance he is a Norris nominee? Obviously depends on how the team finishes but his numbers stack up with the best on an individual basis. Who was the Flyers last Norris nominee? Mark Howe?
