Martin put Gionta on the 1st line because right now gomez doesnt need gionta, and pouliot doesnt need gionta.. gomez and pouliot formed their own "dynamic duo" which means we can move gionta to the 1st line and actually have a complete first line back .. great idea imo
Hey, hey, hey! This person is very intelligent
I'm not a fan of Martin's style but he does understand line combination's, no one can say anything negative about him there.
Just heard Martin on CKAC. He wants to evaluate Sergei's game time condition and may move him up to the 2nd line during the game.
That might actually be a functional second line instead of a figure skating pair...
Gomez and Sergei were a beauty to watch together. Doing spectacular yo-yo passes up the ice and never shooting on net... Pouliot can skate with them and might actually shoot on net if he gets the puck.
Sadly, CBC's website says the game will only be on TV in Quebec, BC and PTN (whatever that is...poutine, maybe??). The rest of us are stuck with Leafs-Panthers. Thank goodness for streaming!

I phoned the CBC yesterday to complain on the decision to have this terrific original six game limited to two provinces, British Columbia and Quebec. The rest of Canada has to watch two non playoff teams. What is HNIC thinking?
I also asked what PTN meant. It stands for Pacific timezone areas. The Yukon Territory will see the Canadiens game as it is in the Pacific TZ. The areas of BC that are in the Mountain TZ will see the Florida game as those areas get CBC Edmonton or Calgary.
