tis true.

not sure when they originally announced finger was playing, but i read it a couple of hours ago.

hagman - bozak - kessel
ponikarovsky - stajan - blake
kulemin - primeau - stempniak
mitchell - mayers - orr

kaberle - white
beauchemin - gunnarsson
schenn - finger

gustavsson

i hope this lineup works, but i'm not a fan of it at all really. i hope moving kulemin to the third line is more of a compliment from wilson (meaning he can comfortably play him anywhere in the lineup) than a demotion. i also hope moving hagman to the top line is more of a shakeup than a promotion for his play.

i'm no coach obviously, but if it were me, my F lines would look like this:

kulemin - bozak - kessel
ponikarovsky - stajan - hagman
blake - primeau - stempniak
rosehill - mayers - orr

i kind of agree with what cherry was saying about right-handed defensemen playing on the left side. for some reason it does seem sort of awkward. not sure how schenn, finger, or white (who, out of the 3, is the only one who looks just as comfortable on either side imo) feel about playing on the left side...but i'd switch up the pairings personally. if you have 3 L dmen and 3 R dmen, i see no point in not playing them on their normal side. something like:

kaberle - schenn/white
beauchemin - schenn/white
gunnarsson - finger

double shift certain guys to give finger less ice time and gunnarsson more.

it will be nice to have a healthy blueline again. kaberle, komisarek, beauchemin, white, gunnarsson, schenn looks great, even if only on paper....

We usually fall under that National Game area. So I think the National game is the leafs game.

He doesn't he saves them . Playing the leafs should make his job that much easier. I see a low scoring game though resulting in another OT loss.

I don't think that's right. An original 6 match up should always have priority. But I guess the ratings wouldn't agree with that.

Primeau + Kulemin is a pretty nasty shut down tandem... I'd love to see him on the top line again, but I see the logic.

Quite sad, the only forwards I'll take back for next year from that lineup are:

Kessel, Bozak, Kulemin, Primeau, and Stajan.

You'd keep Primeau but not Poni? People dislike Poni for some reason, but the guy is solid. Scores 20+ goals a year and is a + player on a team that gives up way more goals than it scores.

I'm in BC, so I'm getting jaked. NHL center ice needs to realize there are people who do want to watch the game in English too. Leave the Punjabi feed, but give me my Leafs in English please.

If Hagman was playing on the top line, I'm sure it would be reversed. Hagman's simply better than Kulemin.
Hagman is simply more offensive than Kulemin, in both meanings of the word.

Who knows for sure until the start the broadcast.

According to Shaw in Calgary, Toronto is on 3 channels, including HD, and the Habs RDS and WPIX.

agreed.

i would like to see poni back for sure if a reasonable deal is offered and accepted.
he gets flamed a lot but is likely the most consistent forward we have in terms of play (not necessarily points). i think poni is a perfect 3rd liner/2nd line call up on any contending team. as long as he doesn't want much more $$ than a 2nd/3rd liner, than i'm all for keeping him.

Hopefully with Gusto knowing he is the "starter" for most of the remaining games will help him settle down. If he eliminates his anger from his game he will be more effective.

Most of the bad goals he lets in are right on the heels of one before it. If he can let the goal go and stick to his game, he will be better. Wouldn't hurt if he learned to play the puck in the offseason either.

Milbury just called out the refs from the Tampa game.

Said St. Louis turned his back to Poni, the call on the misconduct was unnecessary and the too many men was marginal.

Hate to see Kulemin bumped down in the lineup again. Blake back to the second line yet again... ugh. Top line better do everything off the rush, cause neither winger is going to win a puck battle in the corner.

You can tell the person(s) who makes them puts some artistic effort in 'em, that's for sure.
