It's the first time the Penguins have been on NBC, so they gotta get it in.

That's all good and well, but theres 2 more periods to go after Malkin. He retaliated and it cost his team a 2 goal lead.

tough period. The flyers dominated and its only 1-1. they need to win this game out of spite now.

Pretty much why I laughed. There's no way they're going to give a Pen the Bettman special.

Letang is such a *****, continuing to throw when Powe is down. Typical of that POS franchise.

Well, we got screwed out of a goal and the refs scored one on us, but other than that it was a good period. Let's not let up!

True. But if this is the first time you've heard who the Stanley Cup winner was last year, you probably aren't a big enough hockey fan to be watching this game anyway.

They really gotta step up in our own zone, alot of bad clearing attempts. Offensive zone pressure been good though.

Go Flyers!

If Gagne went down and had a concussion, it would have been another story. Should he have done that? No. But Malkin went for the headshot guys he's a *****.

Only against the Penguins can you dominate in all phases, outscore them, and not be winning.

Lots of good stuff, exciting hockey in that period. Play a little smarter. Use your stick to play with the puck Gagne.

Anybody notice the PP where Gagne was basically right on top of Giroux when he had the puck? He can't pass it if you're right there. And it's a lot easier to kill a penalty when you're bunched up.

Oh please. That was Powe compelling him to do so. He wouldn't do that otherwise. Not God's children...

Hockey has never been better, isnt that what bettamn has said numerous times? This is a joke. When over a third of the game is special teams somethign is wrong. Such a shame what has become of hockey. This is just a bastardized version. It is going to be hard for the flyers to win this game. a 5-3 for the pens will no doubt happen.

How is the cooke penalty not intent to injure or a 5 minute major?
Malkin is a chromosome away from being a retard. Man is he ugly

They're hoping there's quite a few of those people watching.

The officiating has left something to be desired here...to put it bluntly.

Gagne also had every right to defend himself after that elbow. If that was Carcillo on Crosby, there'd be a 10 page thread on the main board already.

At this stage, midget wrestling has more credibility than the NHL.

What I do like is that they didn't let that incident take the wind out of their sales.

Also, I wonder if that PokerStars commercial uses the hockey imagery because poker became much more popular because of the NHL lockout.

I didn't see the replay of what happened between Gagne and Malkin because my stream went blank. Can somebody describe exactly what happened?
