I can almost feel the tension in this GDT.
It's like the calm before the storm.
Kind of eerie....

Matt Cooke jumps Larry Brooks in hallway outside Ranger lockeroom. The whole team led by Dan Girardi jumps in and pounds the Pens super pest.

Rangers win 7-0.

After the game. Drury hands over the C to Larry for the rest of the season.

Not watching this travesty tonight, Syracuse vs Georgetown is going to take my time rather than this garbage team...

Larry Brooks' intangibles are so underrated.

Am I a bad fan for sub-consciously wanting this team to take a nose-dive until Sather is fired? We've been stuck on mediocre for too long.

That being said, **** Sidney Crosby and the Pens.

we need to start cleaning up the garbage and taking far side shots looking for rebounds rather than trying to snipe short side so damn much

I want them to open a fresh can of whoop ^%$...but I'm almost certain they'll be sipping weaksauce with their pinkies in the air.

I like Staal a lot but I disagree with this quote:

Quote:
I think we’re competing hard,” Staal said. “Mentally, we’re just making mistakes and losing coverage. Maybe that’s a a part of getting ready mentally. But we had a good start at Montreal, we were flying all over the place. You just don’t lose that will to win.”
It's both, Marc. The mental mistakes AND lack of compete level are why the Rangers lost.

Showing up for 20 minutes in the 1st period does not mean the team played a good effort the entire game. If the will to win was there the rest of the game, then I guess the team didn't want to win that badly.

Good thing they're putting MAF in against us...wouldn't want to have him face a high powered offense in his first game back from injury.
