HF team prospect rankings on remaining playoff teams

File this under 'Stats that just make ya feel good'

HF team prospect rankings of remaining playoff teams

1st Montreal Canadiens
15th Detroit
19th Calgary
21st San Jose
24th Tampa Bay
26th Toronto
27th Philly
30th Colorado

next best is 15th, and 5 of the remaining are in the bottom 10.

Just though it was kinda cool.

we are lucky to have two phase of blue chippers, first phase is already players that have made it into NHL like Ryder, Komisarek, Ribeiro, and the second phase is the once coming up, with talent like Perezhogin, kostitsyn, Higgins you can't go wrong that many times. years of waiting has paid big dividends as few prospects like Ryder, Ribeiro has blossomed this year.

Kool we have a strong future but to
have room for next year we have to out Dagenais and with Ribeiro in the center the prospect winger if he has good wrist shot like ryder he can easily make goals Guys which prospect has the best wrist shot ????

This is good news. Now I can re-assess my anxiety quotas for the next 7 or 8 years.

Firstly.. nice avator Habstrack... and wow... aren't we sooo lucky... the thing we have to do for better player development... is to make sure that we keep making the playoffs each year whilst grooming in new blood and give them a taster of that playoff buzz.... This year has been of great value to Ribs, Ryder, komisarek, Begin and others... the thing is, they won't have gained anything if we don't make it next year and they can put into practice again everything they'll learn from this year!!!

Also the ability to draft well and develop youth players in our organisation is KEY!!! if we are not to have another barren 5 or 6 years where we're missing the playoffs...

Nevertheless the futures bright the futures Canadien!!!

GO GO!!!!!

While it's nice to see that the Habs prospects are respected HERE, I don't see how this stat affects the outcome of the series against Tampa Bay. Sorry to rain on the parade.

It doesn't do sqat to help the team versus Tampa, but it's a sign of good balance between the here and now and the future. A team that is considered to have the best stable of young prospects in the game, that can still be in the final 8 in the playoffs is something to get excited about. For all of us who suffered through the Houle years it's nice to have this kind of excitement again.

its not supposed to aid us one bit in this present series.... the point of the thread is to state that the management are doing things right!!!! with good playing staff now, and also the ability to bring youngsters in, draft well and good minor league setups in their organisation at this present time... Your not raining on anyone parade as its the boys on center Ice at the Bell that will win us the stanley cup - present day!!! & The boys in Hamilton who will win us one in a few years time - future!!!!!....

GO GO!!!

To me it means we haven't mortgaged the future in order to make it to the final eight. Our core players are all in the 24-29 year-old range, and gaining valuable playoff experience, while the farm is "simply the best". It's plenty of sunshine for us, not rain.
