The standings are so tight... the Canucks keep winning. Needless to say (but I'll write it anyway), this game is big. The Wings will match our work ethic, and despite their injuries have more offensive punch in their lineup than we do. It'll likely come down to Bryzgalov being the better of the two goalies if we hope to squeak out a win.
The Flames and Rangers are struggling right now, so in theory they both look ripe for the picking on our mini two-game homestand later this week. Struggling teams always scare me though... there's no telling when they'll break out of it.
3 big, big games coming up: Wings today, Flames Thursday, Predators next Tuesday. Over the next seven games I'm hoping we go 3-0 on those three, maybe lose to the Rangers and Hawks, and go 1-1 against the Stars.
That would give us a a 4-3-0 record over the next 7 games, a bit better than how we've been performing over the past 10, but not impossible. That would give us some nice additional padding in the standings.
