Classic sports calls

Any sport. A recent one which game me the idea for this poll:

I know it's because I'm not a minnesota fan but this is just downright hilarious to me.

This one is one of my favourites, classic, humorous I like the fact that both commentators go "OOOOH!"

I have had this idea for a while but I didn't know if posting other sports would be recieved well on this board because it is hockey but I have a feeling it will.

Wow, those Vikings announcers were pretty choked. I guess I would be too if a screw up of equivalent proportions happened to the Oilers.

Well, Rod sees a screw up of epic proportions every night in front of him. But he manages to keep a lid on it.

That was sweet. The Saints' announcers call of the Hartley game-winning field goal was awesome as well.

I might be biased, but this has won awards for best call in The Guardian in England as well. Norway were crap back then, and England... Well, it's football and it's England. It was massive to beat England back then.

Even though David Mishkin is absolutely brutal as an announcer (the screamer), his "take that Kiprusoff" after Ruslan Fedotenko scored his 2nd goal in game 7 of the SCF was pretty hilarious.

Still partial to this one

"That's the most rediculous thing I've ever seen. Patrick Stefan, you should be embarrassed for what you just did. That does not belong in the national hockey league!" The crowd going just nuts also is still great.

Foster Hewitt - Henderson goal
Al Michaels - Do you believe in Miracles?
Howard Cosell - Down goes Frazier. Down goes Frazier.

Those three come to mind first.

Most amazing sports performance ever. Not just because of the margin of victory but because he did it against a horse that in any other year would've won the triple crown and was likely one of the best ever.

It'd be like Gretzky scoring 9 on Sawchuk in a game. All unassisted. Or Babe Ruth going deep 4 times off of Walter Johnson.

The last training day PRIOR to the Belmont he actually ran FASTER splits than what he did on race day!

'Gods Horse' indeed.
