Kings v. Leafs: Post Game 3 in a row THOUGHTS & TIDBITS

So, that was the Maple Leafs, eh?

...and they gave up how many 1st round picks for Kessel?

The 5-3 score made this game seem closer than it was. It should have been 6-1 and would have been if Quick was sharper and a few of those pucks that should have went in had gone in. In fact, let's call this an off night for Jonathan.

Brown and Zeus were having their way with the Leafs.

Go Kings.

Here is the short and sweet post game article. Click on the http://www.lakingsnews.com link for more.

Quote:
The Kings entered game 2 of their road trip at the Air Canada Centre against the struggling Maple Leafs. Toronto’s playoff chances are slim and none and, after tonight, slim may have left town. Grab your Molson Canadian beer, national healthcare card and a few loonies and let’s head to a hockey game.

Well, Quick has kept the Kings in many games this year. The offense and defense won this game for Quick.

Kings win a game they should. Are they 20-0 now after 2?

Quick has stolen games for us this season, today he was bad for his standards but the rest of the team won it for him.

How Brown wasn't nubmer 1 star I don't know. Nice to know however that we can score goals without relying on Richie and Simmonds . I approve of Fro padding Doughty's stats

Brown had a great game, more please. Quick was a little shaky, I'm thankful that they were playing the Leafs and not some other team.

Overall a good win, I would advise some of us not to blow this win out of proportion as to avoid a mass suicide when/if we do lose on this road trip. . . this is one of the worst teams in the league and they certainly played like it tonight.

Good win though, Let's all have a relaxing Tuesday evening.

****... Detroit folded and the Coyotes have tied it with 0:21 left in the 3rd. 4-4.

Good game by the Kings. FACK! Phoenix ties it up with 20 seconds left.

Did anyone see Kopitar giving Fro crap about not passing it to him before Doughty? Classic.

(P.S. I know he was probably just congratulating him, but let me me have my fun.)

- Brown. Amazing game. Our Captain paved the way tonight. Nothing else needs to be said.

- Zeus, Smyth, Frolov, and Moller also stood out as well.

- Harrold is making the most of his opportunity and he's playing well. Ultimate team player so I'm happy for him.

- Johnson and Doughty (sans that last pinch resulting in the 3rd Toronto goal) were both rocks tonight at both ends.

- Quick was off. He wasn't really tested at all but we got the win.

- This felt like a 7 - 1 game and not 5 - 3 with an ENG. We got the win though and I think some good habits may come from this game.

- Kopitar is playing better of late but he still needs to find his balls again.

Two words: Duthin Brown

Two more words: two points

Great game by so many players. I just love how Frolov can dominate a shift and hold on to the puck so well, how he can pick pocket anybody and steal pucks along the boards. Simmer with great effort. Richie looking good and Zues, wow.

Its fun to watch this team. And its only going to get better!

I know. We'd have moved up to 5th!

Doesn't really mean anything this early, but still...

Sadly Detroit choking a 2 goal lead in 2 minutes just put us back in 6th, thankfully we have a game in hand against Phoenix.

well, atleast the ducks lost to an eastern conference team and columbus beat the predators......it would have been perfect if detroit beat the 'yotes in regulation, but oh well, we got the two points.

Nashville and Anaheim lost in regulation. Good for us. Can't win them all.

Good gritty game by the Kings, although i was expecting a win on this one. I thought Toronto looked very good in the first period, the second and third was all Kings.

Loved Brown and his line tonight. Good on our two young dmen with the goals!!

Hagman is ridiculous. Those two top cheese goals were great. That would be really nice to have on this team.
