Trade!!

RW Jannik Hansen
4th round pick 2010

C Jeff Halpern

We believe with the acquisition of Moore, Halpern was expendable for a youngstar on the wings. Jannik will be getting a solid shot at sticking around this year. We believe he can be a very solid 3rd liner, with 2nd line potential. He was somewhat lost in Vancouver's depth charts. We are happy to pickup another mid round pick as well.

What do we do with waivers Habsrule? I know that the lower teams in the current standings that puts a claim will get him but how much time do teams have to place a claim?

UPDATE

Owen Nolan could be traded by the end of the day. We have a very solid offer on the table and unless another team jumps in the sweeptakes, we will accept it.

Marek Zidlicky is still on the trade block. We are looking for a young guy ready to step in on our 4th line (with 3rd line potential). We could also consider a draft pick and/or a prospect.

We would be ready to move one of our 1st rounders along with Pierre-Marc Bouchard (injured right now) for a young and skilled center.

Send your offers and inquiries!

What we will do is give a 24 hour window from when it was first posted that a player is on waivers. Afte that 24 hours window is up the team with the lowest amount of points in the real NHL gets the player. I figure that it is the most fair and I do not want to just set a noon deadline like in the NHL. We all have lives. Is that fair everyone?

Three teams interested in Tomas Plekanec right now.

Is anyone interested in any of these players:

Metropolit--good, hard working 3rd/4th line centre. Only making 1 million and is an upcoming UFA.
Mara--only making 1.7 million and is an upcoming UFA. good bottom pairing defencemen
Bergeron--making less than a million dollars and is an upcoming UFA. great on the PP.
Gill-making 2.5 million for this and next year. good stay at home D with a Cup ring from last year.

I am not looking for much for those rentals. Anyone is available but like others have said. Some are just harder to get than others are.

ISLES MAKE TWO HUGE TRADES

The Islanders have acquired two players we believe will help now and in the future.

Martin Biron
NYI 3rd 10

Nathan Horton

When this deal was offered, I had no choice but to jump on it. I'm very happy to be able to bring in Nathan, and he will be a huge help when he returns from his injury.

Rob Schremp
PHO 3rd 10

Lee Stempniak

We believe Lee will fit very well with Josh Bailey, and we thought we could give up the assets to get him. We're very happy to add a former 27 goal scorer to the team.

Line Up (until Horton's recovery)

Moulson-Tavares-Okposo
Comeau-Bailey-Stempniak
Bergenheim-Nielsen-Hunter
Sim-Weight-Park

Streit-Gervais
Sutton-AMac
Kohn-Meyer

DiPietro
Roloson

The Minnesota Wild have made an unexpected trade. We have sent forward Cal Clutterbuck and our 2010 2nd round pick to the St-Louis Blues for forward TJ Oshie.

Comments to come later.

have received some interesting inquiries for goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov. We hadn't given any thought to moving him, but for a quality #1 goalie coming back we'd consider it. If you're one of those teams with two starters and need to move one, or you want to improve in the net and can offer a top-20 starting goalie + for Bryz, we will absolutely listen.

To Stephen Weiss, Matt Rust

To Radim Vrbata, Kevin Porter, Jared Staal

The Coyotes were looking to add a top-flight center and are thrilled to Stephen. We think him centering a line winged by Doan and Havlat will go a long way toward more scoring, which is exactly what we're looking for.

We thank Radim, Kevin and Jared for the time they spent with this organization and wish them well.

In a statement issued NBC/TSN's Pierre McGuire, a Panthers spokesman said:
"We're honored to pick up these three talents in Radim, Kevin, and Jared but sorry to see Stephen go after his many years of service to the Panther organization and wish him luck as a Phoenix Coyote.

Radim will be in uniform for our game in Carolina Tuesday night, Kevin will start out in Rochester and will likely spend the season there unless we deem necessary, and Jared will stay in Sudbury until his time in the juniors is up.

Following Marty's acquisition, we are looking to trade Scott Clemmensen for picks, prospects, or experience playoff veterans if anyone is interested."

I am pleased to announce a trade between the Vancouver Canucks and St. Louis Blues. We have traded forwards David Backes and Brad Boyes to the Canucks for Forward Steve Bernier, Prospects Jordan Schroeder, Yann Sauve and a 1st Round pick in 2010. First of all I would like to thank both David and Brad for their contributions to this orginization and I wish them well in Vancouver. Steve Bernier will be a great addition to out roster now and both Sauve and Schroeder can be the future of this club.

UPDATE

We might consider trading Guillaume Latendresse and WAS or PHX 2010 1st round pick for a young and skilled top 6 forward (RW).

Marek Zidlicky could be on his way out. One team is seriously interested but we are still taking offers.

Owen Nolan is still available. We had a deal in place but the other team decided to cancel their offer because of an another trade they made.

Other players could be available.

PM!
